To get to the part, a lot of the washer must be disassembled, not a very hard task but it does take some time. The cou[pling is a perfect fit and appears to be sturdy. Many loads of laundry have been done and still working perfect.

You can do it!
With more than 25 years of dependable service, the original motor coupling finally failed. So, instead of buying a new washer I decided to repair mine. It was simple to locate this part with only the model number of the washing machine.I recommend keeping your older appliances and repair them yourself. This part was am exact replacement part and was not hard to learn to replace. My washer is a Super Capacity and it works great again.

Fixed Kenmore Series 90
This part was a perfect fit for my washer, which is back in service. I did it myself.Beware though of all the internet videos claiming this is a five minute repair. On machines with the water pump on the bottom it could be a pretty quick job, but on my washer the pump is on the side facing the front, which necessitated removing the cabinet. Also, while lying on the floor, it’s difficult to line up the motor shaft with the coupler while supporting the weight of the motor.But it is definitely a DIY job, not rocket science. It extends the life of the otherwise good washing machine by a few years for just a few dollars.

Tried.
Turned out that it wasn't the coupler. Tried replacing the clutch and that wasn't it either. Must be a transmission problem. Ordered a new machine.

DIY EASY
