Is it really connected!? Who knows…
Using the app it is impossible to tell if the detector is really connected - checking the connection always fails, but the main screen has a live reading of CO2 levels etc. which takes a moment to load each time I start the app. I’d like to know for sure 100% that the smoke detector is connected!! The app needs to be fixed, or I have a hardware problem and need a replacement ASAP.I’ll update this review based on any response I receive from the seller.

Make sure it works!
When you get your alarm, the first thing is to test it. I took my new Aegislink Wi-Fi alarm and held a smoking newspaper under it. Nothing happened. I even tried a flame. No alarm. However, when I did these same tests with my First Alert alarm, it went off each time.I bought this alarm because it would alert me when I’m not at home and it was much less expensive then other Wi-Fi alarms. I guess we know why.There are two possibilities here: some units are defective, or all are. I think Amazon should look into this since, unlike other products, a faulty fire alarm could cause deaths.

Super easy to install
I bought this device based on its ratings and reasonable price. It was very easy to install and link to the app. I like the fact that it alerts me when I'm away from home, as I recently had a standard smoke alarm malfunction and it was going off for hours, freaking out my dogs. My neighbors called 911 and the fire department came--all of which could have been avoided if I had an app alert, as I was just around the corner.

First app notification was faulty
The item was not new when I received it which should have been the first warning. Easy to install app. Tested and it worked--self testing. However when testing with an actual flame i got a notification for a fault in the device.

Good to have piece of mind when away.
One of the sensors had bad WiFi issues and would not connect, all of the others connected without issue.Replacement sensor very promptly neon sent out to me. I really appreciate a company that stands behind their products. Thank you, Paul
