Leaky float bowl drain.
Bought this carburetor for my 73 bug. Saw that it had a few bad reviews. Decided to give it a try. It has been on my car for about a week now(daily driver) and it has developed a leak on the float bowl drain. Tightened, still leaking. Replaced washer, still leaking. Used drain plug from other carb, still leaking. Bad quality in casting. The packaging was mediocre. I had to clean and suck out styrofoam from vacuum ports. Inside Venturi as well. Budget carb? Yes. Permanente carb? Nope. Rebuilding my old solex and replacing as soon as possible

make sure its going to fit
nice product.... but said it would fit my application but doesn't went to return it and was a couple days past my return time I guess so I'm stuck with it now.

Works very nicely as a replacement for any tired old 34-3 if you ask me.

Adjusted up perfectly. No issues at all. Highly recommended stock VW bling!
Perfect fit. Everything is as it should be. Adjust valves, points, timing, choke, fast-idle screw, mixture, and idle setting and DONE! 1971 Karmann Ghia runs like a new car again. Now to get rid of this stupid 009 distributor!
