AFIMission Chair Side Table in Walnut

I ordered two of these. They are relatively easy to assemble, sturdy and attractive. Only issue is that one came without the hardware needed to assemble it. It was fairly obvious that the one without the hardware had been returned and whoever returned it failed to put the hardware kit back in the box. Wish Amazon had a better return inspection process to keep that from happening. A quick trip to our local Ace hardware and $10.00 dollars later I had the hardware needed to assemble the second unit. Atlantic Furniture has a toll free number to call if you are missing parts but frankly it was easier (and much quicker) to go buy the hardware than repack the unit and send it back to Amazon or wait however long it would take the manufacturer to send 4 bolts, 8 wood screws and 8 dowels. Except for that little hiccup, the quality of the tables is great and I wouldn’t hesitate to order more of the Atlantic Furniture products.

This is a nice table, but do not order from OJCommerce. I ordered two from two different sellers. One arrived in a few days directly from Atlantic Furniture and I waited two weeks for the one from OJCommerce, only for them to tell me that they had to cancel the order. The table itself is solid wood with a nice dark finish. It looks much better than the $100 price tag. Assembly was not too bad, but a rechargable drill is a must for installing wood screws.

It was very easy to assemble until I got to the bottom shelf. There are not pre-drilled holes for that shelf. So as an older woman with arthritis I was able to do everything else but I turned it over to a neighbor who was able to pre-drill the four holes and make sure that it was centered before being attached

This side table was exactly what I needed- a small table to go next to a Mission-style chair. It's used to hold drinks, snacks, and remote controls, and eventually the lower shelf will carry some books. It's very sturdy and well made. Everything fit together perfectly and pre-drilled holes were in the right place. The only caution is that the screws that complete the assembly may present a challenge for some. I used a long clamp to hold the legs against the bottom shelf when sinking the screws, and also used a power tool. I also added felt to the bottom of the legs because it's used on a wood floor. I highly recommend this table! It looks like it would cost much more.

I purchased in "used-like new" condition, and upon arrival it had clearly never been unpacked from the factory (i.e., someone bought it, then returned it without unpacking it). However, the lower shelf was in hideous condition (see pics), so I immediately contacted the manufacturer in accordance with instructions in the box for a replacement shelf. Four weeks later I realized that I had received neither a reply nor the replacement shelf, so I followed up with them again. That time they did reply, but after exchanging multiple emails back and forth (having to send the same information to them multiple times), they then tried to sell be a new lower shelf for $37 (which was more than I had saved on the discounted price for buying it in "like new" condition). Therefore, I retuned the entire table to Amazon for a full refund and will avoid buying anything from AFI again. (This issue aside, the table quality itself was mediocre; I likely would have kept it if not for the damaged shelf, but I was underwhelmed by its appearance and quality.)

The delivery was all right. The packaging was somewhat excessive but also all right. The pros of this table are the solid wood construction, mostly good finish, and esthetic appearance. However, there are significant negatives. First, the top surface of the table I received had a couple of notches that had been finished over as well as a small scratch. The small scratch may have been caused by me during assembly, but definitely not the notches. Speaking of assembly, this table required much more than conventional assembly. In particular, the bottom shelf is held to the side panels and to the legs with 8 screws. There were no holes made for those screws! There were also no markings where to drill for them, or at what angle. The instructions simply said, "Make sure to center the screw on the leg." So, to assemble this properly, you will need a drill and/or powerful arms with a rather large screwdriver, and you will have to make some measurements or trust your visuomotor coordination to get them right. There were also some issues with the small dowels that help hold the bottom shelf in place, but those were less problematic than the need to drill screws into the wood of the legs during assembly. In summary, this item is not as well designed or as well made as it appears on the picture, and it is, in my onion, quite overpriced at nearly $80.

I bought this table to hold the printer for my computer and it's a perfect size, both for the printer and the area in my home office where it has to fit. My husband is very handy with tools and woodworking, and his skills proved necessary. Some of the screws don't attach well and the screws themselves are cheap aluminum that broke. Hubby used his own steel screws instead, attached with electric screw gun. The surface was scratched in several places right out of the packaging, indicating sloppy packaging. Fortunately a few swipes with stain markers fixed them. Once it was put together, the table is perfect for my needs. The design adapts well to many furniture styles.

purchased two of these beautful tables as you can see in the photo to finish off a sitting/reading room. was not disappointed. They are beautiful, easily put together and came very well shipped. They are very well made and i am extremely happy with the way they look. Would highly recommend them.
