Nice-ish. No wait.. GARBAGE
Update : let’s play a game. Can you guess who’s vspe is MIA and who’s pixel has a dead battery AGAIN? Oh I know this is a tough one...so I’ll tell you... me! So, yeah. In 3 or 4 days or a week or whenever my “tracked” vape shows up...Im sending these back. if u like hour tracker to work even worse than it having one....these silver bullets are just what u need...12 hours earlier......I have trackers on most of my stuff, since I hold a world record in losing things, but some of my smaller items were in need. Having just dropped too much on a flashy new vape, I went on the hunt and found the pixel. I bought the silver ones cuz they were on sale for less than 5 bucks a piece. I added one to my vape, and people just think it’s part of the design. However, one day in the battery died. Three or four days later I found my vape. I hadn’t added the other two trackers to anything yet (and still haven’t), so I took out the battery, replacing it with a battery from one of the others. One day in the battery died. I took the last battery and replaced it. That was yesterday. The battery is dying. So, maybe these guys have been sitting around awhile, and hopefully it’s just old batteries..I don’t know and not a huge deal, but at nearly 5 bucks each for a new battery locally, this sales is seeming less sale-y.I then saw you can order a “free” battery through the app, so I go in to do that while I’m going in to find my vape, of course. Since the battery is dying, I closed out of the order form to find the vape first, eventually found it, and came back in to the app for the battery and made the mistake of starting over. Now I have 3 batteries in my cart, when there is a limit of 1. It won’t let me delete the other two, and just gives me an error. So I guess u get what you pay for on that one. I could probably just delete the app and start over, but now I’m asking why I’m doing any of this. I could just give up nicotine and probably be less irritated. Besides, by the time it arrives this battery will have died and my vape will be lost somewhere between where I’m sitting now and 2 feet from me, and none of it will matter. One more thing...they aren’t very loud. Maybe that’s a battery issue, but it can get frustrating when the app says you’re dang (amazon told me to clean up my language..like that’s a 1st) near sitting on top of it, you can hear a faint high pitched sound, but your lack of dog hearing makes it difficult to pinpoint where the sound is coming from. When I decide to pony up for the new battery and not return these, maybe that issue will resolve itself. Now I’m not so sure why I wrote nice in the title...maybe I’ll add an ish...

Good for what I need.
I think this works well for what I would use it for. I saw the poor reviews stating you cannot hear it over city traffic.I bought this for two reasons. One is to track a wallet that is usually lost at home. The sound volume is more than enough to hear it. I also bought this for my computer bag. I know this sounds stupid but I drive to work every week day and put my computer bag in the back of the car. About once a month, I will get paranoid and get scared when I am on the highway that my bag is not in the car. I cannot see the back because of the headrests. So maybe about once a month I will get off an exit and stop to open the back to look. Even with this, about once a year, I will get to work and find out I forgot to bring my bag so I waste 60 minutes driving back to get my computer. This will help a lot. I also like the idea that I can replace the battery by myself.Update: about 7 weeks after using the rechargeable lithium ion batteries, one just got the low battery warning so I recharged it in about 2 hours. Also the panel on that TrackR Pixel which should not come off came loose on one end. I just glued it back on with cyanoacrylate glue so it is working fine again.

"Someone" should be sued
I have never seen such a blatant case of false claims and outright lies to sell a product that was never any good and has been totally 100% useless for at least 8 months. Proof of this is the notice posted on the front page of the manufacturer's website (thetrackr.com): "We regret to inform you that TrackR will no longer be supported on Apple or Android devices after August 15, 2021." The wording could certainly be more direct, but no support on Apple or Android devices can only mean "no apps" (and there ARE no apps). And since the "Control Method" is stated as "App", no app = no control = useless device. Sure, you could use it to kill batteries, and it might even make a good fishing lure, but that's not the claim, and without a DISclaimer, the sale of any new item is covered by an implied warranty of usability. The name alone implies an ability to track, so legally, they could only call it a "shiny object" or "battery killer". I even showed Amazon the courtesy of contacting customer support several weeks ago to make sure they knew that what they were selling was a scam. Obviouly, they either didn't believe me and couldn't be bothered to check the manufacturer's website, or they just don't care. (Inexplicably, some of the other trackr sellers immediately deleted the "iOS/Android compatible" claim.) I bought 8 of these from the manufacturer in 2016, but a few days ago I also bought one from this webpage, SOLD BY AMAZON, just to make sure I could post this review. Of course, it won't cost me anything, because I'll return it soon, with the same DEAD "battery included".
