Very easy to set up. My cats love it. You can set the disbursement times however you like and for the quantity you like. I only have to fill it up about once every 5 or 6 weeks. Very good deal.

We bought this feeder because I was in danger of losing my mind over the feline harassment. Every morning starting at 5 am, and then again at 4 pm. Endless meowing and pawing and getting underfoot until the mealtime at 6. It’s been a week and a half now and they’ve started to figure out that food comes from the Voluas god, not the humans. This might be the best purchase I’ve ever made.On the practical side, it was a bit of a pain to set up, partly because the instructions are poorly written, though the process is actually quite simple. The quantities didn’t quite make sense (4 portions gave about 1/4 the amount we wanted, but 16 portions gave twice as much) but trial and error got us where we wanted. It seems to divide the portions equally. The recording sound quality is horrible, but whatever. It works!

I ordered this about a year ago and haven't any detrimental issues as of yet! The only thing is that the power cord tends to bend easily and come out easily. Not sure if it's user error or if my cats are tearing it up when I'm not home (it's probably them, honestly), but I've had to buy 2 additional cords after the one that came with the feeder.Also the clock isn't always right and gets earlier and earlier from the time you set over time, but that's not a huge issue and can be easily fixed.

I bought this automatic feeder because I was going on vacation and didn't want to worry about my 2 cats being hungry. My daughter (aka cat sitter) dropped by twice a day to give the cats their canned food, replenish water, and to give them their snacky's while I was away, however, I wanted my cats to have access to dry food as well, since they're use to me being home during the day to feed them. Fluffy would devour food left in a bowl, while Nugget is a grazer, so having timed feedings worked well. I read other reviews where ppl had issues with their cats tipping the feeder over, so I was a little worried that Fluffy would break into the feeder, but thankfully, he never even tried! He did run to the bowl every time he heard the pre-recorded message I left letting him know it was time to eat. Lol. That said, instructions weren't difficult, and you can set up to 4 feedings per day. The only issue I had was figuring out the portions, but I'm sure I'll get it figured out once I take the time to do so. At this point its dispensing small amounts of food into each bowl, which is working fine for now.

I have to admit that I was overfeeding my greedy felines until I read up how much they should have a day. This feeder is perfect. I can digitally measure how much they can have a day and I'm one and done! Nice capacity, it can hold 3.5 lbs easily. It's well worth the value and saves me $$ too

I wish I would've bought this sooner. Never would've guessed how convenient it would be to finally own one of these. Great product for its price and works very well.

Purchased this so that we could give our cats hard food while we’re out, and for that it works. The two spouts are perfect for two cats, and they mostly mind their own bowls. I like that the machine has a spot for a desiccant to keep the food fresh, and programming it was relatively easy.Issues:1. You can record your voice, but the quality of the recording is very poor. It’s hard to tell what’s being said, it sounds staticky and garbled.2. There is a button that is supposed to automatically dispense food, but that button stopped working pretty much immediately. It’s easy to just open the top and grab some food out, but it’s annoying that the button stopped working.3. Setting the feeding times uses military time, which can be confusing (for me it was!)Otherwise, it works, you can select how much food it dispenses and our needs are met.

ORIGINAL REVIEW (after 1 month of use) - "I am very happy with the product. It works well with Royal Canin Veterinary Dental food which is shaped almost like a cube with the large side having 13 mm square sides and the depth having 9 mm sides. It probably works because these kibble’s are all very uniformly sized and are very solid and do not break up at all in their journey from the top of the machine to the bowls at the bottom. Regarding those that complain that some food accumulates under the spouts, my cats have no problems with this and in one swipe of their paws they move the food back to front of the bowl. My last criteria for a successful purchase is longevity and reliability and I really hope that this thing works many years and that I can depend on it for small weekend trips away from my cats."UPDATE - After 5 months of use I must conclude that this machine is not reliable enough for me. Over the last few months it has been occasionally blocking (probably every 2 or 3 weeks on average) which necessitates manual intervention to unblock it by emptying out all the food and pushing the blocked kibble out (there’s usually just one piece that seems to be causing the whole blockage). This makes it unsuitable for use when I go on vacation and so I am currently looking for an alternate solution that will work with my relatively large sized cat kibble.
