The exterior velvet cover is zipped and can be easily removed and washed. If the memory foam core also gets some stains, a wet cloth can be used to spot cleanse it, then leave it dry. Due to high density of the memory foam, please don't soak the core in water or other liquid though, as it will take too long for the water trapped in the foam to evaporate. Q: Is this pillow good for a home chair?

I use this pillow in my recliner. The big plus for me is: the width of this pillow is as wide as the seat 18" so stays where you put it. My previous pillow(s) were not as wide and were constantly shifting to the side. How annoying! Otherwise no more comfortable than others I have owned.
