Will this product work on a octagon shaped window?

I have cut these to fit as long as you don't cut the side where the wires are. It will stick well to a flat surface. Not so much to a curved - we modified them to fit a helmet shield. hopefully this helps you.

I do not know the exact number for transmittance, but at full off power , you pretty much cannot see thru the other side unless the object on the other side is pressed up right against this film.
