My last set of shelves took me about an hour with all the leveling, measuring, marking and double checking. This time around it took 15 minutes. Most of the time was spent finding books and boxes to set it to the right height to match my shelves across the room. A tripod would help, but I don't see myself using it often enough. Way better than paying $159.95 from the Home Depot.

Just received this today and already started using for alignment of t-shirt graphics. Super bright, cross pattern is square and looks like it's built tough with rubberized exterior. I took one star off due to the fact that it blinks every 5 or so seconds when locked and is a bummer for my application but, can see how this would be important for construction work. Overall very pleased and great price with the 30% off coupon!

What a great product! No more guessing if a project or a picture is level! This handy product takes care of all that hard work we had to put forth in the past! What a time saver!

damn, how do they make stuff this cheap. seriously. and it came with batteries. 1/2 the price of the boch one and it has more features. would be nice if it came with a hook so I could hang it on a string.

THIS IS A N EDITE:I put up some new brads where the work i have done with the level and it was off. i never measured or checked my work after it was installed. Turns out the level is off 1" over 12 feet. I had to spend half a day fixing it, so i could do the step i was supposed to finish today.Works, terrible. Super bright. I used it all day for a couple days. went though a set of batteries, so keeps spares.

I have always wanted one of these! So much handier than lugging around my huge level and holding it steady as I mark up the wall and hope I didn't let it budge at all! My only qualm is that the instructions don't make sense in two places. First, it says when you are done to turn it off and keep it in the locked position. But the locked position is in the middle and is considered manual mode, so very much on. And second, it tells you to keep it in the case when not in use. But it doesn't come with a case.

This ALEAPOW Self Leveling Laser Leveler is so handy to have in any family tool set. It works great to line up ceiling lights we also plan on using it for a shower tile job that we are starting soon. This unit will also make hanging pictures symmetrically a breeze.

It is kinda useless. Works great... very bright seems accurate. So what is not to like? If you figure you will just grab this thing and mark the wall or whatever along the (really nice) green lines? Bzzzt wrong. You can not press this against the wall and have it work. in fact you have to be at least 2' away from the wall to get lines that stretch out enough to be useful. If you hand hold it... it will probly not self level with your human hand shaking. In short.. you need a tripod. and room to set up a tripod. My old black and decker stud finder/laser you could pin to the wall and go mark what you needed. This small unit is worthless without a tripod or something to set it on that can be leveled. Is that a deal breaker? Sometime not at all.... sometimes? yeah, it can be a big deal. In fairness all the others like it are the same. If the laser does not come out the side of the body? the thing needs to stand off of the wall
