I've tried all kinds of collars and harnesses for Agatha, and this is the best so far. My other Chi wears the Gooby Choke Free Step-in Comfort X and it fits him perfectly, but it didn't work for her. She has a large chest, and the sizing on this was odd, because her measure is 17", the small size is 17-19", yet it seemed to just fit, not be on the small side as you'd expect. In any case, it fits well. The little plastic sliders for loosening or tightening slipped and became uneven a couple of times and I had to readjust them, but now they are in place, which is good because they seem a bit flimsy and I don't want them to break. I had wanted the orange color, but it was not available; this turquoise turned out to be a good choice. Now for the important thing: the harness gives me control over her when she tries to lunge for another dog. I shorten the retractable leash and pull up on it, and then she cannot do it. And she definitely can't get out of this harness as she did out of others or out of her collar. i like that there is nothing to constrict her neck. Also, this harness does not have a long piece that attaches to the leash, so when you take the leash off, there is nothing hanging down. Not that I leave the harness on, but if it is on for a little while, it does not have anything in the way. In all, I'm happy with this purchase, and she does not resist having it put on.

This design seems sensable, but in practical use is NOT escape proof. My puppy mill, leary of everything, fearful, rescued Mini Schnauzer backed out of this harness twice yesterday and it took only seconds for him to do so. He was supervised both times and thank God I was right there. I was lucky that I was able to corral my rescue dog before he ran away.I have been using this harness for 3 +weeks. One of it's design flaws is that you have to constantly adjust the straps because they loosen up. That is a design issue that needs to be addressed. The harness may also be too soft which allows easier escape.I have NO CONFIDENCE in this harness and do NOT recommend this for a rescue dog or any dog with fear or other issues. Should the dog panic they can easily back out of this harness Please do not buy and use this harness assuming that your dog is safe and cannot get out of the harness. It is NOT escape proof as claimed.For the record my rescue Mini has a chest size of 18.5 inches and was wearing a size small.Going forward I will also use a leash on my dog's collar at the same time I have the leash on the harness so that I have a back up system in case he starts to escape this harness again. I will also look into other harnesses.Most harnesses are not really escape proof, but this one advertises itself as such and that is just not the case.

Actually, my little Chihuahua Bella asked me to write this for her because herpaws keep hitting too many keys at once.She wants me to tell you this is the most comfortable harness she has ever worn.She doesn't like harnesses but if she has to wear one THIS is the one SHE would pick.Easy on, easy off. And soooo comfortable! Give your fav doggie a treat when you takeher for her/his walk by getting he/himr one of these. YOU BOTH will be glad you did!

FINALLY! After many amazon orders and returns, I’ve found the perfect harness for Speedy - and the perfect collar, and the perfect leash. All orange, of course. 😁This “Gooby” harness is lightweight, easy to put on, comfortable, and totally escape-proof (tightens around chest is he tries to back out of it).The “Go-Go” martingale-type collar is very adjustable, tightens if he pulls but *never* chokes him. It’s a great design.The leash is from “Max & Neo” … it’s reflective, 6’ long, and has a padded handle - they donate a leash to shelters for every one purchased.The nifty thing is that the two Gooby-harness D rings plus the Martingale-collar O ring nicely fit together into the leash clasp. He is safe and secure!

My new favorite harness! I have bought so many harnesses and this is the best one yet. I had seen it on a pup in the neighborhood and had to buy it. It doesn’t choke Oliver as it is lower in the front, and not as cumbersome around the body as other harnesses. My main thing I have been trying to find was a harness that doesnt have the clips under the arms. I could only imagine how uncomfortable that is. This one is great. I am so glad I purchased and will purchase other colors! Highly recommend!

My Yoshi (boston terrier/chihuahua mix) hated all harnesses until I found this one! He chewed at all the others prior to this (which were many considering all that are out there 4 sale) BUT THIS IS THE BEST HARNESS EVER! He loves to run while we skateboard along with him and this harness keeps him right! And safe most importantly! The only harness made with POM plastic buckles that are invincible (for dog chewing) and used to make seat belts (from what I read) Yoshi chewed through all the others and broke every single clasp/buckle until i got this one. He loves it so much that he won't try to chew it. No rubbing or irritating the underside of the arms which is great! They offer many nice colors and not too many options that it's overwhelming. U just get a quality harness for the price- not a harness, poopbags, toy, bowl, etc made of crappy materials! Just one really nice harness! I would tell anyone else to not waste their money on any other harness and just buy this one! (I've become quite the veteran of buying crappy dog harnesses and leashes and I wouldn't steer u wrong!) Love these products and love the harness! I have two for one dog and will probably be buying another soon (for color variety) not because it is wearing out. They have been through the "ringer" and look like new still!

My pug managed to escape from 2 harnesses prior to trying this one, which a friend recommended. We've been using it for 2 weeks now and she's not managed to wriggle out of it yet! She is still a pup and quite wary of new places and situations so spends a fair bit of time dragging back, but this harness has held tight. I'm a Gooby convert and have recommended the brand to a number of others!

We have needed to try a lot of harnesses and this one has ex excellent balance between comfort for the dog and security. We believe it will be difficult for our dog to back out of the harness because if he pulls against the harness it will tighten around his body. A very good product which I am happy to give 5 stars.

Really fast delivery. Excellent quality, expensive but quality. Fits well and I’ve tried lots of different ones, my dog is exactly in between sizes on most harness makes. Wanted one without buckles behind legs as they rub him when he gets hay fever red skin under armpits. This is perfect.

Extra small for two chihuahua dogs. No longer able to escape. Tried many before, wasting our money. Absolutely brilliant.

bought two harnesses. great fit, very secure. One dog is an escape artist so the adjustment clips are really good and firm. They can run off lead easily and the harness stays in place
