Sleepy Hollow

I love this take by Tim Burton on The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. It turns a satire into a great spooky movie while keeping some of the humor. Love the 2 lead actors in this but the supporting cast is perfect as well. Christopher Walken is the perfect Hessian character. He will always be a favorite of mine in all his roles, and as short as his role is here, it still makes a big impact. The best Sleepy Hollow ever in my opinion.

I remember watching the trailer for this film in 1999, but I did not stay in America long enough to see it that year. I have been meaning to watch it for decades, now I have, and I really enjoyed it.I like the costumes a lot. The outfits were perfect and I think very important in making the film feel authentic (it its own steampunk way). The film is very gothically atmospheric, and that was also important in helping me like the film.The director's take on the story was really interesting and fresh. I won't give away any details--I think you should enjoy the story's surprises--but I will say that it is well worth watching (and for me, buying the DVD).

4K quality is outstanding! This is one of the all-time greats!

"Sleepy Hollow" is a 1799 drama that is based on Washington Irving's beloved story "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow." The film blends fantasy, horror, and romance while staying true to the surreal universe that Irving creates in his narrative. It also boasts an amazing ensemble of people who play with the paranormal. The 4k release has improved picture quality which helps to bring this creepy tale to life.

John and Christina are good, but with out the horseman it wouldn't be the classic that it is.Christophers portrayal of the horseman especially at the end when he got his head back puts this movie in my top 50.

Great transfer and sound. Great story, sets, costuming and action.

Amazing movie..4k is marvellous..gory but great.. unmissable for the visual treat it offers.

This 4K transfer is much better than the blu ray version, especially the display of black color. (Consider this movie is pretty dark).
