Can do!
In my late 60's and this dvd is excellent because I don't have to get up and down from the floor. I noticed a difference in how much better I feel by doing these exercises everyday. Heck the first session is only 20 minutes and who doesn't have 20 minutes to do this and feel healthy. There is light weight exercises (not hard to do) lots of stretching and movements for better balance. I recommend this dvd as the best one I have tried in years. Also, I recommend it to those in my age category. If you want to feel better, you have to do something about it.

Best if you're old or injured
I am 59 and usually do Jillian Michaels and Jackie Warner workouts. Then I lifted something too heavy and injured my back. I wasn't able to workout for months and still shouldn't be doing much. So I Googled workout videos for old or injured people and found Jane Fonda's new series of "Prime Time" workouts. This one is my favorite of the three I bought. It is very good for what it is, but somebody younger and looking to get into shape won't get that from this workout series. If you're very overweight, it would definitely be a good start, though. There are 2 workouts on this DVD, an easier one (which is way easy) and a slightly higher level workout which is about as much as I can do at the moment and not too challenging. It's keeping me somewhat toned and flexible so that when I do fully recover the transition to regular workouts will be easier to handle. The length of the workouts is manageable (20-25 minutes) and she addresses all the root problems and issues older people experience. Her teaching method is fun and relaxing. She's a terrific instructor. Instructions are thorough and patient. If you're in your 70s and haven't worked out before this would be perfect for you. Those in your 80s and 90s should definitely try this, especially if you're not doing anything else.

Excellent Workout for Mature Women or those with physical limitations.
Excellent DVD to exercise with. Specifically designed to those who are just starting, who have limitations ,and the more mature woman . Gives a good, but gentle workout. Explains everything, lets you sit in a chair if you need, and chats along the way. Nice music, well staged. The lady knows her stuff! Nothing in there to hurt you, and plenty of time to pace yourself and build up you skills and stamina over time. Price GREAT!!

This is a perfect video to start and stick with for aging women
Exactly what I needed. Jane was 63 when she made this video, I am a few years older and wanted to get more activity. This is a perfect video to start and stick with for aging women. It's only Jane in the video, not a bunch of young skinny women in the back round. The pace is perfect for someone who is interested in a 20 or 25 minute (2 choices) beginner work out. The "minutes" go faster than you think.

Great. DVD and info.
Being fair. Any exercise DVD one chooses will be based on "their" fitness level, age, and interest. That said, I started with Jane Fonda "8" track tapes back in the 80's and returned to her current walk out and now fit n strong dvd's, due to my age and current fitness level.I love both of them. They are well instructed and a perfect workout for over 50 strugglers. Each dvd has extra info for the older consumer on brain, heart, and circulation health. 20 mins and you're done. Results will vary depending on how often you do them, but my energy and tone are improving. Thank you Jane!! You've come through once again to help us age with grace and keep us fit without injury or going to the gym to try and keep up with the younger crowd.

Get mom (and dad!) out of the chair
This is so great with two levels. The second level involves a lot of arm work with dumbells which I love. She discusses the necessities of exercise as we age while she is doing the movements. It's good for anyone but if you are older or have a parent getting older, this is a great 20 - 25 minute work out and encouragement to stay fit in the face of the difficulties of aging. By it for your mom and do it with her. I'm not close to the age of retirement and when I started this kicked my butt after being unable to bear weight on my leg for two months. (But I did the dumbells from my scooter!)

Thank you, Jane
So I'm 58 years old, with back problems (prior disk surgery, current bulging disk in lumbar region). I got this video to help me get back in shape after several years of pain and partial disability. I was nervous that I might aggravate my back problems but figure at this age(!) I have enough common sense to stop when something feels wrong. You other gimps know what I mean - the difference between "Wow, what a burn!" and "Oh no, what did I just do?"So, I am LOVING this workout. I'm still in Level 1 every other day (been using it for 3 weeks) but I have upped my hand weights from 3 lbs to 5 lbs. And when I'm through with my workout I feel wonderful - a slightly sweaty glow, slightly out of breath, with my back feeling fantastic.Just so you know - there is no jumping or any other high impact exercise in this, but a gentle series of strength and stretching exercises aimed at improving posture, flexibility, function, and health. I have noticed that I limp less when I walk (a result of nerve damage from prior accident) and my balance is much improved. Looking forward to Level 2 and some of her other workouts. As any good fitness expert should, Ms. Fonda reminds you to maintain proper form/posture and to move slowly and with control. Good luck!

Great DVD!
This is my second purchase of this DVD! I've almost worn out the first copy I have. What I like about this DVD is with my knee issues, I can still get a great weight workout and stretch without harming my knee. I try to use this 3 times a week and can really tell a difference.

Jane Does It Again!!!
I've always believed that regular exercise was an essential part of staying well and feeling energized. When I previously had some issues with one of my ankles that didn't allow me to walk or do any weight-bearing exercise, for extended periods of time; I went looking for a workout DVD that I could still do.After reading some very inspiring comments/reviews about: Jane Fonda Prime Time: Fit & Strong DVD, I decided to give it a try. And I'm certainly glad that I did.First of all, how could anyone not be inspired and encouraged by anyone who looks as good as Jane Fonda does? I think she's absolutely beautiful. In her 70"s now (seemingly ageless!) and in much better shape than a lot of women in their 30-40's. And she certainly is a pro when it comes to putting together an exercise video that is not only effective but fun and informative too. Hard to believe it was the late 1970's when her first exercise videos were available. How time flies! The Jane Fonda Fit & Strong DVD includes two workouts, each approximately 30 minutes including a warm-up and stretches to finish. There is also an introduction (calming and empowering) and balance exercise (so important to maintain our balance) segment, both that are worthwhile adding to any daily exercise workout.Jane Fonda not only explains each exercise well, she also shares interesting facts/stats throughout, the workouts about the importance and benefits of exercise. For example: did you know that people between 50-72 can actually increase their muscle mass/strength by as much as 200% with regular strength training exercises? Amazing! And we all know how important it is to stay strong, whatever age we are.Jane also talks about the importance of balance and working to maintain a good level of ability in this regard, throughout our lives. Unfortunately, changes to balance start to happen in our 20's and decline from there. But with specific balancing exercises added to our daily exercise regimes, we can help to stem the tide. Such an important topic that from what I've seen elsewhere is usually overlooked when it comes to any type of exercise programs/DVDs.The Jane Fonda Prime Time: Fit & Strong DVD is a very good way to ease back into an exercise program, if you've been unable to participate in regular exercise, for whatever reason. Even if it just comes down to being unmotivated or as in my case, having an injury that made my regular activities hard to continue on a regular basis. This DVD would be too easy for someone who is already working out at an intermediate level but that's just not the reality for a lot of us.Some other things I appreciate about this DVD. Jane Fonda has a very soothing, relaxing voice to listen to. It's easy to focus on what she is saying and to follow her instructions to the letter. So many exercise DVD's are lead by instructors with annoying, grating voices that definitely don't add to the routines. And speaking of instructions another helpful and appreciated point I noted with this DVD: when Jane is referring to working the left arm or leg...she is working the reverse herself, so that what we see facing the TV matches up with her instructions. So many instructors don't bother to do this. The only thing that could be improved on this video is a minor issue. I found the background used for this workout distracting and "busy" looking. For example, there is a coffee table directly behind Jane Fonda when she is working out. When she is doing chair exercises, it looks like there are "wings" sticking out from both sides! A simple, attractive room without so much clutter would have added to the appeal of this DVD. Minor but something that could be improved upon. It really is never too late to get more physically active and strive to be in better shape. Our attitude is so important in terms of what aging well really means and in all areas of our lives, not just the physical. Again, Jane Fonda touches on this topic in the short introduction segment; a great way to begin the workouts.Highly Recommended!😂Geraldine Helen Hartman, author of: Laughing at the Grim Reaper! this DVD makes me enjoy exercising
Keeping in mind that I am 77 and don't do any exercise apart from 2 or 3 1/2 hour walks a week(pathetic as that may sound) I really do enjoy this DVD.It is enough of a challenge for me but probably not for a really fit senior.I do like Jane Fonda's humorous and encouraging approach. The programme seems well designed with emphasis on balance, stretching and building muscle. Not a lot of aerobics. The 25 minute length is perfect for me and makes it more likely that I will actually do it.

Prime Time: Fit & Strong
Recently purchased this item. I have collected all Jane Fonda Fitness Videos over the years and always loved them. Glad to see Jane back, she looks amazing and the workout is good for seniors who have not been working out and want to get back into it. Its very easy -- a beginners workout. If that's what you're looking for and I believe, that's what its meant for, then its a good program and why I rated it 4 star.

Perfect for over 50s. or moblity challenged.
I love this video. I have been exercising for a few months now. Began almost full time in a wheel chair. I'm able to stand a lot more to do these videos. This one is perfect for me. I am able to do the second level. It is likely too easy for a very fit person. But perfect for a beginner or a person who has little mobility but wants to gain some strength. I originally did the first work out but have worked my way up to the second level. Jane uses hand held weights for part of the video. Some standing and stretching. A very low aerobic segment. It's broken up into segments. that are not too long so that a person might get bored. I do this video when I'm a little sore, but still want to work out.
