I needed to replace my old totes compact umbrella that I had for years. It’s compact size is perfect to tuck into the side pocket of my backpack but provides the perfect amount of coverage for one person when open.

I have used Totes umbrellas for years and trust the brand. My spouse and I needed new mini-umbrellas for his small backpack and my shoulder purse for an upcoming overseas vacation. Totes seems to be the only well-known brand that manufactures an umbrella this small. Due to its size and weight, this is a manual umbrella. It opens and closes without any problem. As I trust the Totes brand, this is one less packing item to research and acquire before our trip.

I bought this thing a month ago or so, and it works quite well. It's easy to fold & unfold, it only bends the wrong way in high winds, and the design I got is quite cute! I carry it around in my handbag, everywhere I go. My old handbag umbrella's handle would always poke out the top of the bag, so I really appreciate the convenience of this little number.

I have 2 of these - the first one lasted a long time so I ordered a second one. Small umbrellas can sometimes be difficult to put up/down and break easily but not this one. And it’s small enough to fit in a very small bag or pocket.

I do not write very many bad reviews. I should have paid more attention to Amazon reviews. The size of this is perfect. As stated in other reviews this is hard to open. Does not stay open. Blows backwards with the slightest wind. It is use less. As in it can not be used.Too bad for a company with a good name to ruin said name. I had a Totes in the past and that one rusted. No more Totes for me. Ever.

I bought this for the size and saw it had good reviews. Day one it held up in VERY light rain, but the handle is very thin and flimsy. Day two, heavy rain, immediately started leaking on me from the top. Day three. Medium rain, also leaked. Sad to say it did not so it’s job :(

Bought these to keep in my car for south Florida showers. Very sturdy, compact, and I like them. They even fit in my purse. The only problem is I lend them out to friends, and sometimes, they don't come back. Not shaming, just saying.
