Castle building toys are very small, so pay attention to scale if buying for older kids. Plastic is also thin, flexible, and have structures inside to help keep their shape which will make the sand castle output look different from the outside- not great for actual sand buildings. Buckets seem fine.

Headed on a cruise to several beach locations with 3 little boys. Wanted something that was easily packable in a suitcase, sturdy and didn't take up lots of space. This fit the bill perfectly! Well made, the 3 buckets folded flat easily and nestled into each other, and the mesh bag made it easy to rinse off the sand and store all the items. The kids played with these for endless hours at 3 different Caribbean beaches and nothing broke or cracked. Have it stored for our next beach adventure! Great Buy!

We packed these along on a cruise and they were a favorite surprise among my kids (1-6) the little building toys were perfect for small hands and my kids loved the pails. Probably wouldn't be super easy for quality sand castles but my littles enjoyed it just fine. I would definitely recommend this for any beach packing, they packed away into the sand bag easily and fit within our luggage just fine.

We bought these to take on our cruise and they were perfect. Easy to pack and fun to play with. The shovels are thick plastic so they don't break easily. I am pleased.
