Will never buy Vizio again - or any Wal-Mart electronics
I received the Vizio D65-E0 television as a gift from the company I work for in July of 2018 (bought from Wal-Mart). The TV was purchased in May of 2018, but not opened until it was in my possession in July. Last week (June of 219), the TV quit working. When I turn it on, the screen shows the Vizio logo for 15-20 seconds, turns off for 5 seconds, then turns back on with the Vizio logo and keeps repeating that process until I physically unplug the TV. The buttons on the remote won’t do anything, nor will the buttons on the TV. It has to be physically unplugged in order to completely shut the TV off. I first got in contact with Wal-Mart, and with no surprise, they directed me to Vizio because there was “nothing they could do”. So I then called Vizio and spoke with their customer service department. They ran me through the “troubleshooting” processes, which I had already gone through after researching online (unplug the TV, hold the power button for 30 seconds, etc.). That didn’t work. So, the Vizio rep asked me the date of purchase, which I provided honestly as May of 2108, then explained that this was a gift and I didn’t physically receive the TV until July of 2018. That didn’t seem to matter to them. They said, and I quote, “we carry a 1-year warranty from date of purchase. We can’t help you.” As you can imagine, this was very unsettling (to say the least). I did not have the option to purchase an extended warranty on this particular TV since it was given to me as a gift. I then went online to Vizio’s website and chatted with an online rep. After the same exact process I went through with them on the phone, the agents response to me was “you can take it to a repair shop” (and obviously they weren’t going to cover that cost). They were completely unwilling to work with me, and telling me “you can take it to a repair shop” came across as they didn’t care one bit about customer loyalty. Very disappointing. Now if I had the TV for 2, 3, 4 years, I would understand, things happen. But that’s not the case! I’ve had the TV in my possession for 11 months! Shouldn’t Vizio be making products that actually last for more than 1 year??? After this experience, I will NEVER buy a Vizio TV again, nor will I purchase any electronics from Wal-Mart. Please take this into consideration when shopping for a television. Go with ANY other brand than Vizio, and buy from somewhere other than Wal-Mart!

Vizio says they offer the Amazon video app on this ...
Vizio says they offer the Amazon video app on this model, but they do not. Bought one today. Guess I'll cancel my Amazon Prime account, since my new TV doesn't support it. Why would Amazon sell TVs that are not compatible with their own products?

never buy a Vizio
Never buy a Vizio. They don't last and the warranty is a joke. Do yourself a favor and buy a good brand
