I have used this particular bare copper wire for several years. It is good to work with, I have it in several gauges, and it has always been consistent in quality. That is one advantage of bare metals, you don't get a nasty surprise of a coating flaking off in places. Being uncoated, of course it can be dipped for a patina/antique look, unlike the tarnish-resistant wires out there.
