Lean Six Sigma and Minitab: The Complete Toolbox Guide for Business Improvement

This is the book to have for a detailed understanding of Lean Six Sigma and or to prepare for a Lean Six Sigma green belt certification.It explains you simply and very clearly the DMAIC methodology while helping you identify pitfalls and giving you all the necessary tools to be able to implement it. Better late than never, I received the book and it is very useful to me.

By far the best data analysis reference book I have come across. My colleagues keep borrowing it!

Very useful

This is a useful little book if you are a qualified six sigma practitioner. On the upside, it a relatively compact book that you can carry easily in your brief case in case you need a refresher or tips on six sigma principles or minitab. The downside is that the pages are very thin in the ringbinder and can easily be ripped or torn. Some of the small pages are also overloaded with information, some do not go into enough detail, but if you have had some Blackbelt training this can definitely support you.

Really great book that walks through the DMAIC process simply with examples

This book will not teach you Six Sigma but it might prevent you from forgetting it.Very clear and concise summary of all the important bits of Six Sigma and an invaluable tool for somebody which when though this training many years ago.

I originally had a copy of this book (naughty I know) but I found it so useful and invaluable that I had to buy a proper copy. I am a certified Black Belt and I am not exaggerating when I say that I refer to this book almost every day. I referred to it extensively for my very first project and it made me think about areas that I had not even covered in my training such as always doing a Voice of the Customer (VOC) and summarising sections with a Problem Definition Sheet (really kept me on track).The book links in with Minitab very well and provides you with the correct route for commonly used tools which is very useful if you have not had formal Minitab training. If you ever go on Minitab training you will be amazed at how many people have this book open in front of them!I work in a Service (Transactional) based industry (major mobile telecoms provider) and this book is perfect for transactional projects and point of view.The authors website (listed in the book) is also excellent and links in with the book with data files, project charter template etc. You can also download a customised Minitab profile giving easy access to the most commonly used Minitab tools.The book may seem expensive but I can assure you that it is worth every single penny! You will never regret buying this book.

This is a must own for anyone who uses Minitab in real world applications. Practical approaches in user-friendly language with great examples. True to the DMAIC methodology, this book is laid out in a sequence that explains toolset applications in the order in which they would be used in practice. Not too deep, not to shallow. Excellent resource for those of us whose brains are not naturally wired for high-powered, statistically-based materials.
