If your washer walks, get these!
We got a Samsung front loading washer and dryer set about four years ago that under most circumstances we love....until I run it on a long spin cycle. I’ve spent the last four years balancing it, running the legs as flat to the bottom as they’ll go, fully extended, etc. during the wind up and wind down it sounds like our ceiling is going to fall in on us (our washroom is on the second floor). Once it’s at full speed no worries. But wow is it loud. I finally just took for granted it’s just going to do it and let it go.Our washer has a timer so I like to set it up at night to run in the morning when we leave. Our next door neighbor was out on her porch and heard it winding up, freaked out and called us. I ran home anyway just to make sure it was ok, and sure enough it was the washer.Enough is enough so I called in a professional...I Googled it. Sure enough there’s enough info out there that I felt relieved it wasn’t just us, and got plenty of advice to fix it. Having tried all the other “home cures,” I hopped on Amazon and ordered these. They sat on the table for a week until I got motivated to set them in place. So I leveled the washer again, and then put these under the legs (all I did was use the side handle to tilt the washer one way, drop two legs in and then repeat from the other side....simple). I ran a load at full spin...I had to come upstairs and make sure the washer was working. No vibration, no walking. I couldn’t believe it. So I let it finish and then ran another load. Same result. These things work! I was so excited I ordered another set for the dryer. It doesn’t walk on it’s own but I can feel the vibrations running through the floor. So that will be the real test. If it can cut the vibration from the dryer then I’ll be totally sold. But if you’re thinking about these for your washer...stop thinking and order them. They’re worth it.Update! Got the second set today and put them on the dryer. Once I close the door to the washroom I can’t even hear it run! It didn’t walk like our washer but the vibration from spinning could be felt through the second floor and heard downstairs. Not anymore! I may have to turn the completion chime back on because now I can’t tell when it’s done. Awesome product!!

It reduces walking but does not stop it
Before it seemed like our washer was trying to walk a marathon from the wall when it hit its spin cycle. After we installed these bumpers we found it still walks but not nearly as much. If your machine is walking first check to make sure its leveled. If so then most likely the problem with your washer is inside where the drum is and the parts that keeps it from walking inside it are wearing out. At that point it might be cheaper to just replace the washer than it is to try to fix it. I would recommend buying these if you are trying to edge out a few more weeks or months from your washer while you try to save up some money for a new one. Otherwise save your money and just buy a new washer.

Works with drip pan
I have a 2 story townhome with a small laundry room. I had to be very thoughtful and careful in preparing for delivery of my new frontload washer and dryer. I wanted the biggest, but it just wouldn't fit. I also wanted pedestals, but was worried the drawer wouldn't slide out with the "per code" washer drain pan.Since I was having these delivered and installed, I wanted to prepare for every possible thing that could go wrong. I bought a new low profile drain pan (ge, home depot) and bought 2 sets of these dampeners.Sure enough, the drain pan needed to be swapped. Even then, the drawer still did not have the clearance. So I opened a pack of these to give to the installers. They had fits getting them in there in the tight space, but used windex to lubricate the floor so they could slide everything in to place (these things grip like crazy without lube). It worked perfectly. One thing though is that I had to cut a flat on 2 of the pucks so they would fit in the drain pan. Really easy with my miter saw.I gave them the other pack to put under the dryer so they would match height wise, but they just rolled their eyes at me and left. Basically I tipped the dryer back and out 2 under the front. Then pulled back on the dryer and had my wife push the back 2 in place with a broom handle. Took all of 3 minutes to do this.My 4 star is because these things stink like rubber for about 2 weeks. Also it seems you can either buy cheap ones for $5/pack or others for $20+/pack. I just wanted to do this once so went with the more expensive ones.

Exactly what you're looking for
We moved into a new house and got a brand new front-loading washer & dryer, and pedestals for each. Unfortunately, the concrete floor in our laundry room slants a LOT (leading to a drain, of course), so we worked hard to level everything out with shims and 2x4s. We could get it leveled perfectly, but the washing machine would still vibrate so much that the shims would move out of place, and the next thing you know the washer was banging all over the place.I looked on Amazon for alternatives and found a bunch of these rubber pads. After scanning around I liked these the best--great reviews, good price (cheaper than most), and I liked that they had the little cutouts that matched the legs on our machine. I only had to install two under the front legs and then adjust one of the legs to make it longer, and they worked like a charm! I ran two loads of bulky stuff (towels and whatnot), and they don't lie--the pads absorbed all of the vibrations, so the machine was quiet and still as can be!If you're having issues with your washer bouncing around, this is the answer.
