Helped improve my quality of life
Social anxiety for me was debilitating, and affected my work performance, my social life and my view of the world.Social anxiety isn’t something that I feel can be completely cured however by changing your thought patterns you can almost make it feel invisible and prevent it rising to the surface. This book, even though very short, has good techniques for you to apply in your life to block out the thoughts that you think when you have those social moments that cause you anxiety.I carry this book with me every day to work and if I ever have a moment where I feel my social anxiety creeping in, i just take a few minutes to read a few pages of this book and it calms my mind down and puts everything back into perspective so I can carry on being my true self.Would recommend to anyone

Brilliant little book
Clear, concise book with lots of handy practical tips. I found it easy to read and then dip into when I felt I needed to. I found the quick anxiety calmers useful, and the ‘Hand Breathing Meditation’ has helped particularly when having a bout of insomnia. I have two copies, one by my bedside and the other is at my office where it’s been shared with colleagues. Recommended!

So much in one book!
A mindfulness-based cognitive behavioural therapy approach to social anxiety. If you align with the principles of CBT, this book has covered so much so succinctly and in an interesting way. Will definitely be taking away & using some of the tips for sure. The book has so much that I can use and is encouraging too. CBT didn't work for me and I don't align with a lot of CBT ideas but some of what you've written is so inspiring and resonates strongly so will definitely use as a guide so thank you. 🙏 You should be so proud of this. With quick and easy breathing tips to follow for some relief of anxious feelings, to quick lifestyle and dietary tips too. Almost like a pocket handbook of little tips to follow. Fits perfectly in my small handbag too!

Ideal for my clients
As Psychotherapist I know many clients struggle with their sense of self and fear of judgement, the perfect breeding ground for social anxiety. This pocket rocket of a book has clear explanations and guidance. It is ideal for my teenage clients, not too overwhelming and for my vision impaired young clients, they can get it on their devices to read. Mita even uses one of my favourite old quotes by Maya Angelou, 'Hope and fear cannot exist in the same space, invite one to stay'. A book unfirnef by such wisdom is a gem.Claire Alison Hams, Psychotherapist MBACPPhD Researcher on Identity,University of Chester

To understand yourself better
I initially bought this book as my other half is quite an anxious person. However, reading it I realised and recognised that I too suffer with social anxiety in certain situations and tend to use my comfort blanket (people) when I'm out socialising with rather than pushing myself outside my comfort zone and speaking with other people.I've made a conscious effort and have agreed to go out on a works do without my comfort blanket.I've also rediscovered journalling which I used to do in my teens. If anyone wants to grow and have a fuller life then I would recommend this little book

Pocket size and practical - a real confidence booster
I frequently feel overwhelmed and awkward in many social and work scenarios, in spite of being someone who facilitates and delivers sales training in a corporate environment (which requires a degree of confidence)...so thank you so much Mita Mistry for the the empathy and pocket-size practical tips and techniques here. The content applies to all genders and ages as well as catering for various levels of anxiety. This compact guide (not A5 size) is accessible and non-judgemental for guiding you through "off days" or equally for reinforcing those positive vibes.
