Difficult to set up but works.
Overall this works. I didn't like that it didn't come with fittings, but not surprised. The water separation works. Dumping the water is a major chore as nothing has good fitment, it seals up but the clearances suck. Overall works and on a budget this is good but your going to pay with some inconveniences on the poor fitment as a result.

Good quality.
Mostly all I use my compressor for is putting air in tires so it’s not a great big deal for me to have top-of-the-line accessories. But even so this is a lot better quality than I was expecting for the price.

A really nice dual stage separator/regulator - in 1/2" size!
The BLCH dual vessel separator / regulator is a suprisingly nice Sino-made unit. It is above the grade of the typical HF piece. If you have a two-stage compressor, and are moving a lot of air through your supply system, then the 1/2" version is a good choice for feeding your various supply lines. It will catch a lot of oil, water and funk, plus any corrosion particulate, and leave you with a solid unretricted flow of servicable compressed air.I want to point out that this unit has well sized flow-through inlets and outlets - NOT merely 1/2" NPT fittings with 3/8" size passages like some separators sold by certain box-houses that I won't name, but whose initials are HF.IMPORTANT: This will NOT totally dehumidify your air to HVLP professional auto paint booth standards - but the manufacturer makes NO claim to that function. It WILL catch routine levels of excess condensation, some oil, and most funk that can ruin your air tool, paint gun, and your day. Combined with a dehumidfying disposable filter at the gun, it is probably more than adequate for casual HVLP painting, and it is certainly adquate for eliminating enough humidity to keep your other air tools happy.I'm very pleased with the quality and functional design. The strainer cups are quick-release versions, which are handy and seal well. Do note that you should place this filter housing where you will have easy regular access to it. These are not "set and forget" devices. They require regular cleaning, emptying, and occaisional refreshing of the seals. You can't bury it in some unreachable place and act like you never have to look at it again. IF you don't occasionally remove these die-cast zinc cages that hold the strainer cups, they WILL corrode in place and be a pain to remove. The solution is routine service. Clean them every six months or so and all will be well. Ignore them for five years and they won't come off. You have been notified! ;-)Note too that the sintered bronze filter in the second stage filtering assembly is something that has to be occasionally cleaned. Otherwise, it will plug up, reduce airflow and eventually cause a complete blockage of your airflow. This is true for any sintered bronze filter - not just the one in this product.TIP: To clean a sintered bronze filter like this, simply immerse it in a solution of 20% muriatic acid. The acid will eat away the ferrous corrosion trapped in the filter, and without harming the bronze. In a few minutes the filter will be clear of the rusty clogs and ready to finish cleaning using conventional degreasers. All in all I give this a solid 5 star rating. For a Sino-made piece, this is a nice unit. Definitely more than adequate for the weekend warrior / DIY guy, and probably good enough for pro-shop use in some applications.

Quality built true 1/2" Air pressure regulator, filter, separator and lubricator at half the price!
I have put together an airline system for restoring my '60s muscle cars. It all starts with the Maxline M7500 3/4" 100ft kit coming off my 80gal 2 stage upright compressor. At the beginning of my system, I installed a 3-stage industrial 3/4" water trap filter/pressure regulator, coalescing filter, desiccant dryer.I have installed four water traps and multiple 1/2" and 3/4" quick disconnects along the first 40ft of the system. This BLCH 1/2" air pressure regulator combo is the finishing touch at the end of the system for my air tools. I like the fact that this 1/2" unit is actually giving me 1/2" on the air outlet (and not 3/8" like some other brands). This regulator combo is solidly built and should give any of the brand name units a run for their money... Currently it is performing as expected with no issues...BTW, Hawaii humidity is very high most days all year long and that's why I have so many water traps in the line for my HVLP painting. Next to NO moisture makes its way to this unit, but the very, very little that does gets stopped in its tracks (at this BLCH filter), my air tools are very happy.I am very pleased with this BLCH 1/2" air pressure regulator combo unit!

Great quality especially given the price
I've had an air compressor for decades but was never willing to spend the money to add a water separator and oiler. Always just used the basic pressure regulator. I used air tool oil in the tools but not at all on a regular basis - just when I had time and remembered it - so typically a few times a year.Saw the item at a good price point and decided to try it. Is packaged well enough but includes no fittings. I suppose this is to be expected but buying the needed adapters and fittings can run up a bit of a tab at the hardware store. Another thing to keep in mind is this setup is much larger than a basic pressure regulator. I tried mounting it directly on the compressor as I had always used the regulator and it is just too much apparatus hanging off the compressor. I've purchased a short length of hose to mount the new drier/oiler on a wall where it will be sturdier. Is so nice having the drier air and knowing the tools are adequately oiled. Like most people who will buy this product I am a basic home mechanic but we all typically have a small fortune in tools. Is nice to be able to visibly see the tools are getting oiled properly.

Not as described. Too small for my requirements
Fine item but was described as having 1/4 NPT ports. I found that it had 1/8 NPT ports, not large enough for my requirements.
