Just got this safe and I’m really impressed so far. Setup was super easy and it feels solid once mounted. The fingerprint scanner is fast and works well, and I like having the keypad as a backup. The sliding door opens smoothly and quickly, and the inside light is a nice touch at night. Overall, great quality for the price exactly what I was looking for. Would definitely recommend 👍

Everything was great except the size. My Springfield Armory 1911 Emissary Commander 4.25 barrel 9mm has a Sig Sauer Romeo X Enclosed Compact red dot mounted via AOS plate and a Wilson Combat magwell. As a result the removal window from the safe is too small and either the magwell or the optic rubs/scratches against the case. Everything else is top notch. I hope they release a new version. Running with another RPNB biometric safe for now.

I’m extremely pleased with the RPNB Biometric Nightstand Handgun Safe. The overall build quality is solid and sturdy, with the only plastic component being the battery cover. Everything else feels durable and well-constructed. The biometric fingerprint scanner is impressively quick and responsive. It consistently reads on the first try, which is exactly what you want in a bedside safe. The keypad and backup keys both work flawlessly as well, giving multiple reliable access options. There’s plenty of interior space for most firearms. Mine fits comfortably while still being secure and snug inside. I would have taken a picture of my Springfield firearm stored within the safe for reference, but I was worried the image would be flagged. Nevertheless, the interior nightlight is a great feature, providing enough illumination to clearly see both the firearm and magazine in low-light conditions. Installation was straightforward and mounting was simple. I did initially have concerns after watching videos (including the manufacturer’s) showing how easily the safe can be removed from its mount—especially with two kids under three in the house. However, the included thumb-screw adds an extra layer of security and keeps the safe firmly in place, which gave me much greater peace of mind. Overall, this is a dependable, well-designed safe that I would absolutely purchase again for another room. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a secure and accessible handgun storage solution.
