TOPENS TC188 Universal Wireless Wired Keypad

Well made, with good backlighting on button activation. Pairing wirelessly with the controller was a bit problematic, but successful following the instructions. Appears durable and weatherproof.

Very easy to install and works well

The basis of my recommendation is other products I have witnessed, because this is the first automatic gate opener I have ever owned. The reason I haven't put one on our gate before is because of situations in which I found myself walking or climbing over the fences of friends and neighbors who have poorly functioning gate openers. They're ugly and cheap looking too. I have a really cool gate, and it deserves an automatic opener, but seriously, who can't just get out and open the gate. The answer is - my husband and I (he has arthritis and I have ALS. We need the gate opener. So it was with suspicion and trepidation that we studied the available options and decided on TOPENS. My handyman/builder assembled it fairly easily, because HE OWNS A TOPENS opener and is very happy with it. I ordered all the parts. I noted that everything, including this key pad, is finely assembled and heavy duty, which is needed for my heavy duty drill pipe gate. I've seen some good keypads and some not so good. This one is attractive and heavy duty. It matches my whole gate, both in appearance and heavy duty quality. I'm very happy with it! It’s solid. I won’t have to use it, cuz I have two ways to open it from my car: a fob and an app!

Very easy to program for wireless remote. However, once mounted the cover comes off all the time. The small pins that the cover rotates on are too small and there is nothing blocking them from coming out of the slots they sit in. It is very irritating as you have to readjust the cover each time you use it. When it flips up it just comes off.

The wireless keypad is nice. The thing I really like is that it has a cover that keeps the rain and snow from the push buttons. It was a little complicated to program but with the excellent customer support I did get it working. It is reliable and the backlight is great. I always review customer reviews before purchasing online and reviews of TOPENS items were mostly good. I did find one small issue with this keypad, the screws that were provided to mount the keypad on a post seemed different from any screws I have ever seen. When I tried to use them all four of them broke off with very little force. If TOPENS reads reviews I would advise them to go through their inventory of products that have these screws and replace them with regular ones instead of really cheap ones. TOPENS products are really good quality and don’t deserve this little problem.

My first one is only a year and half, it's death after 2 days of rainning due to bad design and workmanship of enclosure. Unfortuanately, the warranty is out and the Topens doesn't want to offer repair or replace, so I have to buy another one. This keypad is not good to install outdoor.

The Keypad has been an amazing addition to our Topens automatic gate. We installed it on the outside of our driveway and are able to program it with numerous codes - some permanent and some temporary guest codes. This has enabled us to give access to authorized folks when we are away on vacation as well as special delivery of products. It was very easy to install and has withstood the many rain/snow storms. A must have if you have the Topens gates.

Great addition to the Topens opener package. Easy to set up and offers tons of options for entry codes.

This is definitely necessary to give others access to your property. You can assign a bunch of codes to different users. The instructions were easy to follow. Canada has some pretty long and cold winters, so batteries tend to deplete pretty fast. Hooked it up with a 18AWG wire and it worked fine.

Installed as an addition to the TOPENS A8132 Dual Swing Gate Opener Heavy Duty Automatic Gate Motor for Double Swing Gates Up to 5.5m per Arm, Electric Driveway Gate Operator AC Powered with Remote Control, Beacon and Photo Sensor.

Great product. And you can have many different codes. Use for multiple people or service persons.

I bought this item for additional/optional access to the property. I had it installed and programed in no time at all. Works very well. We'll worth th money

Installed the TC188 on my main gate. It was easy to install and program. I was able to input the codes I needed. Still allows for more if needed. Works well. Good customer service.
