It's a beast that needs to be tamed!
When i first had it installed in my kia sorento, it was a very simple setup. Stock location, Pioneer hu, 4 channel amp, 1 sub. It didnt sound so well. The one i replaced, dls reference components, sounded better. The sound seemed like it came from the bottom of a well, and some frequencies sounded harsh. I added a dsp (jbl ms8) and deadened the doors and... voila! The thing came out of its shell and could now hold its own against some 3 way systems! Great bass, crystal clear mids, sparkling highs... but you need to tame this beast!
