IRIS Medium Animal Terrarium

The terreriam is plastic, but I suppose that I was expecting one that would be clear and able to easily see through. The plastic is somewhat opaque, so if your little creature is really little, you will have a very difficult time seeing it through the sides of this terreriam. I use mine to put my Venus Fly Traps and Sundew plants in to feed them living flies, so it is perfect, but I would not use it for my Praying Mantis as it would be difficult to find him, much less see him. For my purposes, it is worth the money. One final point, the slots on the top of the cage lid are fairly large. Flies cannot escape, so long as they are large flies but anything smaller could easily escape. There is a convienent "door" on the lid that can be opened for the purpose of putting feeding insects, etc., in you terrarium.

Just had some baby Panther Chameleons Hatch and have now used this terrarium for about two weeks now. I have been very happy with the quality and the functionality of the product. Easy to open the sliding door and close it. It is also easy to pop the top off without feeling like your trying to rip it off if you know what i mean. I have been feeding them fruit flys and I found that this particular terrarium works better for keeping them in then others just because of the texture of the plastic container. I have nothing bad to say about this terrarium and I recommend it to anyone searching for a item like this one

This terrarium is a nice size for the cost. We are using it to house a Madagascar Hissing Cockroach. It’s a good size for it, and was a better price than the pet stores. I really like the sliding clear lid. My only complaint is that the sides are not perfectly clear, they have a cloudiness/whiteness to the material that makes viewing the bug from the side not as clear. The lid is clear and is a better view.

Worked good for a Preying Mantis. Only problem is that she laid an egg case enmeshed in the top so I don't think we can remove it till they hatch in the spring. As long as you don't have anything being deposited in the lid it is a good, inexpensive container. Even though this is a "Large" Terrarium I wouldn't put in anything much larger than the Preying Mantis, especially if the critter needs to move around. It was borderline for the Preying Mantis. Good for watching bugs or as a temporary transport container.

I purchased this for my daughter who keeps various snakes and lizards as an temporary/emergency tank and carrier. The local pet store sells a similar unit for 3.5 times the cost (different brand) so I am very happy with this purchase. This unit is as sturdy and well-made as the "name brand" one and, when compared side by side, they look identical.

I assumed the plastic would be clear like the smaller critter keepers, but no it is more like a storage tub. The lighting in the photos was just right to make it look clearer. Not sure if I will use it or not.

This is great! I recieved it in the mail today and couldn't be any happier! No cracks, no pieces missing AND it completely serves the purpose why I bought it. I'm using this to house small crickets for my two 3 month old baby bearded dragons as we go through crickets extremely fast. I would defibitely recommend this product to anyone. But be warned that the plastic is slightly opaque so it wouldn't be very clear for a viewing fish tank.

I purchased 6 of these for just under $16. They are very good small critter enclosures and recomended them with enthusiasm. Then the price jumped to just under $26...WOW. I found these at IRIS for just under $8.

Great box and the fit of the lid is perfect. Used it to house monarch butterfly caterpillars and see them turn into butterflies

Worked beautifully for our child’s walking stick pet. I wish the pet had lasted as long as the teranium.

Was not as clear as i wanted, could not see my betta very well when usung it as a tank
