Easy to connect, picture quality suffers but new tv was a 4k so the scart can't keep up. Overall good value

Bought this so that my dad can use his old dvd player (which only has a scart socket) with his tv (which only has an hdmi socket). This converter comes with an hdmi cable and a power cable (which you need to plug into a phone charger plug - it doesn't come with a plug though). The only thing you will need to provide yourself apart from the phone charger plug, is a scart lead. To set up, plug the scart lead into the dvd player and then into the converter, then plug one end of the hdmi cable into the other side of the converter and the other end of the hdmi into the back of the tv. You must finally insert the power cable into the converter and the other end of the power cable into a phone charger plug and plug into a socket. It sounds a bit complicated but is actually really easy and it totally works. I would recommend this product.

Recently bought a new LG TV that, like most current TVs, does not have a scart socket. So I bought this unit so that I could still use my old VHS/DVD player and my (about 25 years old!) Sega Saturn. Don't sneer, I happen to love playing the original Sega Mega Drive Sonic games etc., which you can do on the Saturn.Well, this converter certainly works and I can use both devices with my new TV. However, I am a bit disappointed with the picture quality. It's a bit dark and the colours seem much less well defined compared to how they looked on my old Samsung TV through its scart socket. Especially irritating considering that when watching anything else on the LG it's obvious that it is a significantly better quality tv than the Samsung was.Still, for the money I suppose it would be churlish to moan too much. However, If you're looking for a scart to HDMI converter I think it might be worth looking at a more expensive one if quality is really important to you.

I have set up the converter, which is very simple and easy. I was worried the direction would be an issue, but thankfully I got the correct one. This converter is sold as'HMDI to SCART' and 'SCART to HDMI', so make sure you buy/receive the correct direction. It works perfectly, but downside is the power cable needs to be longer.

I found my Playstation2 while cleaning my dusty garage. I didn't think it would work but I tried it and it was working. Scart input was required to plug it into the screen. But there is no scart input anymore. So I had to buy a plug-in that converts the scart input to hdmi. I looked at a few but they looked cheap and useless. This device seemed to have been carefully crafted. I bought it because it shipped with an HDMI cable.Setup:I plugged the Scart input into the device, I plugged the HDMI cable into the device. I plugged the other end of the HDMI cable into the TV. I plugged the Scart output into Playstation 2. I turned on the TV, selected the HDMI option and it worked.Now I have connected the Scart cable from PS2 to this device. Then I plugged the HDMI cable into the device and connected it to my TV. I wasn't expecting great graphics from games of the 2000s, but this device freshened it up a bit. I can definitely notice that. Because my TV is very big and has 4K resolution... I think PS2 and 2000's games have a maximum image quality of 480p or 360p.Thanks to this cable, I am living my childhood for a few days. It allowed me to play old Playstation2 games like Def Jam, Resident Evil, Spider-Man. Now I hid the Playstation2 back on my dusty shelves with this cable. I will play again in the future...

Se ve el DVD antiguo perfectamente, muy sencillo de instalar, trae el aparato, un cable usb para que reciba la corriente de la misma television y el cable HDMI. No trae euroconector / scart, ( yo tengo los de los aparatos antiguos y me queria ahorrar ese gasto, ya que muchos aparatos tb lo incluyen y por eso sube el precio). La unica pega, que si quieres apagarlo, no tiene boton, yo te tengo facil para soltar el clave USB y dejarlo apagado. AVISO que el mio venia reacondicionado, pegado con celo y sin protecciones, pero no lo avisaba en el anuncio, espero que AMAZON vigile esas cosas, si lo compras nuevo, no debe estar abierto.
