Discouraged Wasps from Building in my Patio
They worked for me. Lots of nests to "zero" nests over the past couple of months. They are difficult to hang, as they are very fragile. I used twine with closed-loop hooks. Also, note that they must be in a dry location. Rain will destroy the paper housings. It could be just timing, but I believe the wasps are somehow afraid of the decoys.

Before you ask, YES. They DO WORK.
Easy to assemble. They do in fact work! It would be nice if they offered a better way to hang them than the thin ribbon that they shipped with, but nobody's perfect.Love the fact that these do not kill these vital pollinators. Go Bees! Just not on my deck.

They work!!!!!
We had an issue with carpenter bees, but we don’t any more!! These work great! The only drawback is that they need to be placed in a covered area and they are very thin.

Seems to work well
Seems to work well to keep carpenter bees away that were eating large holes in my decking.

Location, Location, Location?
First of all, these “wasp nests” are fairly attractive; I think you could simply use them as rustic outdoor (patio or porch) decoration with no problem. They are lightweight, easy to assemble, and reasonably priced. So far they have had no effect on our wasps building nests under the eaves of our porches…however, I’ll point out that our wasps had already established their nests before we hung these (which are meant to deter wasps from building in the first place); we were hoping that the resident wasps would leave but they did not. The fact that they were already established may have been part of the problem. Another factor may have been location: we live in the deep South and I think that our wasps build nests entirely different from these “deterrent nests” so have no idea what they are. I’m guessing that these nests are probably the kind found in cooler, more northern regions of the country; wasp nests in the south are very, very small compared to these, with numerous small “pods” where the larvae develop. These are just theories but, whatever the reason, the nests have not worked for us so far. I intend to put them out early next spring before the wasps begin to build to see if that makes the difference. (On the bright side, I don’t think any more wasps have shown up to build nests since hanging these.)

Holy cow, IT REALLY WORKS
I'll be honest - I was skeptical. But our wasp problem was getting out of hand. We could hardly go out on our deck because the wasps were so bad. We live in the country, so your typical pest control wasn't going to cut it. I figured I'd give these a try - especially based on how many faux nests you get for the money. We put one up on both sides of our house under our deck. While it did take a few weeks, I am happy to say we are now WASP FREE. We had a giant wasp nest in our pine tree next to our house - you could always hear some kind of buzzing - silence now. They were simple to set up, the only potential issue I would say is either make sure they're really tied down or secure the nest to your house, deck, etc with duct tape to keep it in place when windy. We're going to give it a try in our shop where we've also had wasp issues so I will update accordingly after we do that.

They work!
I have lots of wasps! Normally they don’t bother me except when I disturb their hives. I only do that when they’re in my way or they get too big. Since I’m tired of them stinging me, I knew it was time to look for alternatives. I was hesitant these would work so I bought a pack of six and hung all six of them in my shed. After a few days I started noticing I wasn’t seeing very many wasps in the shed. I didn’t pay much attention because there could be another reason like the weather. Regardless, I had to do some construction on the shed but before I began I made sure I had a full can of wasp spray and an exit strategy. As I began removing some insulation, I saw wasp nests, some small but one was extra large…but no wasps. Not one wasp was anywhere near my shed. I thought something must be wrong but then I remembered the six fake hornets nest I’d hung up and figured that must have done the trick. If you’re ever in doubt these things work, trust me, they work!

Worked for us
Paper wasps were building a nest in our play structure so we hung one of these near it and the next day the wasps had abandoned the nest they were building! Delicate and somewhat difficult to hang without another piece of wire, but does the job.
