Great device and it comes brand new and it is made great.

I've tried installing the software on Windows 11 that came with the USB disk however it Will not run after installation. I have tried browsing the web to find software and I'm running out of patience. I have a standard MSR605 which is easy to find software for it but for some reason this one does not want to work with any of the software that's out there. Maybe the seller can send me something that actually works...

I've been using the USB wired version of this magstrip reader for years now, and I decided to get the Bluetooth version since time has evolved and I'm no longer tethered to my computer, instead I do most of the work on a cellphone. So Bluetooth connectivity made sense. However, out of the box, this reader writer would only work using the same old software from years back and through a wired USB connection!! So what's the point of this upgrade if it kept on disconnecting when pairing it via Bluetooth to computer and during the short time it does, you get no data in or out of it?!!No big deal since I didn't plan on using it on a computer anyway since I already have a dedicated wired unit just for that. Well...not so much! To use this device with a cellphone you'd need to chip in a whopping 20 dollars for an ugly looking app that does what the freely available software does.The reader/writer does not have any branding or logo on it. It does seem to hold a charge for a long time. Though, it use the outdated micro USB connector.It also comes with 20 blank cards.2 less stars for the price and non-included app.

This magnetic card reader is a perfect addition to my office. We used this to help with clocking in daily. It works perfectly and was very easy to get set up and ready to use.

The software is ancient but usable, even on Windows 11. However, bluetooth doesn't seem to work.I tested the wired connection and successfully copied my own Costco membership card and a bank card of my own, to the provided blank card. Rewritting to exsisting card doesn't seem to work (need more confirmation).Basically nothing is guranteed. Use your own judgement on how to use it.
