If you are new to canning (and I assume lots of people buying a kit would be) it’s important to note that this rack is 12” wide. Even the largest pot I have is 12” wide despite it being a large stockpot. So you will either need at least a 16” pot or a smaller rack but the items are all nice quality. I purchased both a larger pot & a smaller rack so I can use all the items & can all the things at the end of this harvest season

I have already used the jar tongs, with my very first batch of canned green beans! They helped tremendously, because otherwise, I would not have been able to retrieve the hot jars of beans, still submerged under water, before tightening the lids, to allow them to "pop" and seal properly. In my next batch, I will be using the other parts of this set.

I've used this one time for making jam. Looking forward to more canning adventures using this. No negatives so far, AND it arrived here in a day!

Makes canning very easy

I have not used it yet. I'm waiting until the end of summer. But the items seem reasonably well made. Nothing to rave about, of course, but they look like they will work without problems.

Tools are good, but basket does not fit the standard all-clad stock pot. Could not use.
