I've only had this item for a few days, but so far it seems like its' quality is pretty good. The polish is eye-catching and I've gotten multiple comments on it. The text on the back is somewhat easy to read as well. The chain has a masculine look and seems to be pretty strong. It's easy to put on/take off. The metal isn't painted, either (silver color at least), so I'm not worried about any scratches. It's gotten wet a few times and there haven't been any signs of corrosion, so I'm willing to believe that it's actually stainless steel. It just needs to be wiped with a microfiber cloth to maintain its' shiny look. I plan to hand this down to future generations if it can withstand the test of time. Great product as a gift or for yourself if you're relentlessly patriotic and believe in Christ.3 month update:I have worn this for nearly the past 90 days straight and I believe that it is truly stainless because it has shown no signs of rusting. The polished surfaces only have insignificant, unnoticeable scratches due to natural wear over time. The chain has not given me any problems, either. I'm not a big advocate for Amazon, but this is an item I'd make an exception for. Great product up to this point. It's gotten multiple comments.

I bought this cross for my grandson 10th birthday. He loves it! Very well made with a chain that is strong. Loved that his name got I put on the back with inspirational words. He will turn cross over and read the words whenever he needs a little encouragement. I’m going to buy another one for my other grandsons graduation.

I absolutely loved these patriotic Crosses in the steel they shine beautifully. My grandson and his best friend were very excited and proud to receive them. My grandson said he felt like he was definitely standing for what he believed in both ways.
