Great way to stretch the time between professional haircuts
Great, inexpensive and useful way to stretch the time between visits to the barber. Easy to use to touch up my hair, trim it smooth. Then I only need someone to trim the length "out back" where I can't see what I'm doing - and only when it becomes so long that it curls :). Seller delivered ahead of schedule, slightly lower cost.I highly recommend this hard-to-find item. Years ago I bought one at a drugstore. It finally became a bit dull, so I tried two major drugstore chains in person, and on line, and couldn't find it. I couldn't find it by searching "Conair". I had given up when I stumbled upon it again on Amazon and I'm happy with the new one - and expect it will last years, like the first one.

Good ol' tech
Really like this old tech trimmer. Have to remind myself how to get the length I want everytime. On my second one in 3+ years.

My favorite styling / cutting tool for my hair, wish it were cheaper!
This is my favorite cutting tool for my hair. I have a short hair cut (woman) and love being able to maintain the sides and back using this comb / trimmer. I used to get this locally but they stopped carrying it anywhere I look so I found it here on Amazon but it's of course twice the price and why I took one star off. It stays sharp for quite awhile, for me it lasts about 8-10 uses before it begins to dull. This is about 9 months or so for me and fine. It is very easy to use and directions are easy to understand. Just place the side you want (L for long, S for short etc) against your head and it will cut that length. I wish it were cheaper as I did try some others I found on Amazon and they're just not as good. I tried the Conair Pro Jilbere De Paris comb and it's okay, still gave it 4 stars would have done 3.5 if I could, but it's best for just doing bangs. You can cut too much off on the sides. This one is great for men or women and would be great, in my opinion, for cutting kids hair if it was short.

easy to use
\ My hair grows fast so going to a hair salon would break me, and then I would come home and adjust the cut. Decided to try these and have been using them for about 4 years now. I do have a short cut, and I trim it over the ear, you will also need a pair of scissors. At first, I hesitated so I would not trim it as short now it is easy.

The Shaver Can be Tricky....
I used this product on my 2 year old son who would always freak out at barber shops when it was time to get his hair cut pre-COVID. I'm still hesitant to take my child many places so I decided to give him a home hair cut. Overall, the experience of cutting his hair was much more pleasant than taking him to the barber shop HOWEVER...this was my first time using the device so there was a bit of a learning curve and some mistakes. The shaver was easy to hold and the markings on the shaver were easily identifiable. When I used setting 1 and 2, I was doing pretty well and his hair was being shaved off very well. It wasn't until I switched from 2 to 3 did I have a problem. It seemed like the closeness of the shave increased dramatically which caused me to accidentally shave off way too much in one particular area then I intended. It resulted in a short patch on the back of his head. Its been a month now, so luckily his hair has grown back and I have learned that I shouldn't go beyond level 2.

PAYS FOR ITSELF WITH ONE TRIM
Ok, it costs $7 people. Pays for itself the first time you use it. Comes with instructions and is clearly marked with effectively 4 blade lengths. I am growing out a pixie and all a stylist can do is cut hair (shorten it). They don’t always do what I ask, so I have been trimming it myself with thinning and regular shears, but I can’t see the back, which looked in the mirror like it was cut by monkeys. Enter this comb-and-trim device! I did a few passes in the back only with the L (long) side, flat to my head and light pressure, just to get the hang of it, as directed in the instructions. Checked in the mirror, and moved on to the M (medium) blade, which I started flat to the head but then angled down to horizontal as I went toward the nape. Checked the mirror again. Next onto the S (short) side and cleaned up the very nape of the neck, nice and clean and even. The taper is just what I wanted and looks tidy. Saved me probably $70 (I live in LA) plus aggravation of having a stylist do what they want instead of what I want, and saved me potentially months of grown out hair. Yay!! And yes you need to wet your hair as stated in the directions or it will pull. I used a spray bottle and showered afterward to get rid of any little loose hairs. Including a photo of NOT ME but the style I created myself using this in the back.
