That being said if it is displayed inside a sheltered or covered space or if you applied a weather seal coating to it it would fair pretty good for a few weeks or so. **Q: I was wondering what size he wears in costume?** A: Medium or large would probably work just fine. He's about 5 ft tall but not alot of meat in his bones lol **Q: Does this 6' automated skeleton have a "steady on" option or only motion or noise activation?** A: I believe it does. Only a minute or so and it starts up again. **Q: What activates it? motion? timed? a separate foot sensor? it is not clear.** A: There are a few ways to activate this really GREAT prop! First, it has a built-in sensor that can detect someone approaching from about 10-feet away, which is perfect for front porch or haunt use. Secondly, it has a switch position that just makes it run continuously, going through each of its 3 routines and then repeating that triple routine over and over. Lastly, I believe that it can also be triggered by a "step mat", at least according to Spirit Halloween. I rigged mine up on a handheld remote device, so that I could trigger it as people walked by my front-yard "cemetery" scene.
