Fast few-day shipping in a heavy box packed well in styrofoam. It took me anout 1-1/2 hours to build it on the back of the car hitch. Next time would go faster now that I know better how to build it. The instructions could be more helpful. Really a big picture included of it already assembled with some extra detailed instructions would help.Part of what took so long was two of my hitch pins that I have used for years would not fit through the holes in the bike rack. The holes measured 0.61” with my calipers. I was fortunate to have a 5/8 drill bit (0.625”) and power drill to correct it. Then in my opinion the (8) tire slot brackets were too splayed outward so I bent them to parallel in a vice. When it’s all set up I believe it holds the bikes well. I like that it can flip upward when the bikes are off and there is option to mount farther out from the vehicle. Minor issue, one of the black square plastic tube end-caps were missing. The bolts are all cheap steel that might rust over time. I might upgrade to stainless or grade-8 where the torque is on the two bolts that mount the whole assembly to the hitch bar. Overall it us a good design. I added some sticker reflectors to help it be seen at night because it hangs about 4 feet out from the bumper.

We bought two new ebikes and needed away to transport them so we decided this bike rack would work good because the description said it would hold two 80 lbs bikes. Ours weigh 75 lbs each with the batteries but we haul them with the batteries out so they weigh around 65 lbs each. When the rack arrived the instructions said the total weight capacity was only 132 lbs. With the batteries out our bikes weigh around 130 lbs so I thought we would be good. On our first trip, about 700 miles the back bike started leaning and we noticed the plastic slide piece that holds the bike up straight was broke. I put a clamp on it to try and finish our trip but the next day the other one broke the same way. I strapped both bikes down the best I could and made it back home but it was stressful thinking the bikes could fall off at anytime. The plastic piece that broke is not strong enough to hold the bikes. Also, after loading the bikes several times, the piece at the bottom of one of the uprights that hold it in position stripped. I cannot recommend this bike rack.

After struggling with a different style bike rack,I gave this one a go. I wasn’t expecting that much due to the low price, but it’s really well designed and thought out. I took it out loaded with the families bikes a couple of times and it seems to hold up. If there were complaints, it’s the manual. Who ever wrote it needs to watch people who don’t know the product assemble it. It’s not very clear, you need to reread a few times, check all the pictures closely….and even then you get half way through an realize you missed a step or two. Also 2 of the bolts were the wrong type, but luckily I had a few lying around. Even with this I would buy it again!

The rack itself if fairly sturdy. One of the wheel mounts was crooked. Presented a slight bike mounting issue. The assembly instructions were not very clear or self-explanatory. Good thing I am very mechanically inclined. Have not "road-tested" yet so can not speak on those items just yet.

Very good bike rack for the price. It is a little heavy but once installed it works very well.

Instructions are really bad but the product is really good.

I’ve had this item less than 8 months, we used it 3 times. Came home from camping last week and the arm holding the bike broke. I emailed the manufacturer for a replacement part and their answer is “This item has been discontinued. We can give you a discount on another item.” I just paid $277 for this item! I don’t want to buy another item, I want to fix the one that broke. It is a manufacturer defective part. What else can I do?!?
