Nice Card, Little Pricey
Update: SanDisk's second generation Mobile Ultra cards offer the same storage and on par performance for cheaper. I'm not very sure of longevity of their cards but if you want to save some money, check out this itemĀ SanDisk Ultra 16 GB MicroSDHC Class 10 UHS-1 Memory Card with Adapter (SDSDQU-016G-AFFP-A) I have quite a few microSD cards. One thing that lacked with all was that they all were slow, Class 4 cards with barely any storage. For once, I finally found a Class 10 card that offers a good price per a gigabyte on the card. After looking at the formatted capacity, you actually get 15GB of storage on the card (it's not just Samsung, just blame the difference between P/V storage which is what they market and the actuality of disk storage is what you get) due to the differences said in the type of storage counting used.Enough about computer storage science, let's go on to the review! So like I said earlier, the price per a gigabyte is really cheap for microSD cards. With the 16GB card here (15GB in actuality), each gigabyte costs $1.66 each. With the 32GB card (30GB actuality) at $40, it is $1.33 per a gigabyte of storage. So while the other might be a better deal, you shouldn't pay for more than you have to. I would say 16GB is enough for the vast majority. I already put 500 songs on it and that is only 3GB of storage. Add my 10 TV episodes (HD and SD mixed), and that is another 7GB or so. Even there, I got 5GB left which is still enough to record a few hours of video or take pictures with. Chances are though, many of you won't put video on here but use it as a speed boost for your phone and/or video and pictures. When I first got the card, I wanted to test out the speed of the card. Read speeds don't matter much as it is only applicable for pictures or documents that display in one go. For music or video, you won't even take note that it has a finite read speed. In terms of write speed, it varied depending on what I was putting on it. When writing 3GB of music to it, speeds peaked at 7MB/s while my 7.4GB of video peaked at 17MB/s. So write speeds really depend on what files you are putting on it and how varied the files are from each other. If you are using any other class of card now, you will notice the difference big time.As to their 3-Proof technology, I can vouch it is waterproof as I happened to spill water on it and it worked just after. I highly doubt any of that other stuff will happen but the most important thing to know is that microSD cards are super tiny. If you think finding a penny under the couch is hard, try finding this. Also, I actually dropped this and slid down a trash trap and it was a nightmare to find. So whatever you do, don't lose it!Finally, I'd like to say the card I got was black with the '16GB' in orange. I was wishing for the white one because it would be easier to see if I did drop it but I guess a microSD is a microSD.

It's a MicroSD card
The only problem I had with this product is that I assumed it would arrive like you would get off the shelf. Instead, I received the microSD card and reader in the plastic case, not in the blister packaging that you would find buying it at a store. The card itself worked great. I put all my music on it with a lot of room left. I opened up my music app and the music was there, I did not have to wait for the media scan to search the device. With my other SD card (class 4), I have to wait about 30 seconds be loaded.I would have rated this 5 stars were it not for the open package. It's a slightly disturbing thought getting a used SD card. Because deleting files doesn't always mean that the files are gone, you never know what was on there before. Think about it, what if a minor had been sexting and stored pics on the device. Even though the files were deleted, there are ways to recover lost data. Assuming the case of a minor sexting, you just unknowingly bought child porn and could possibly get charged with a felony and have to register as a sex offender. Sure, it's an extreme example, but not impossible.

Fast MicroSD card got rid of lag on my Android phone
I was prompted to try a faster microSD card in my HTC Evo Shift 4G Android phone by an article in ComputerWorld stating that flash memory was to blame for slow smartphone performance. My old card was a Class 6 16GB microSD from AData. After I copied everything from the old card to the new one I inserted the new card and booted the phone. Boot time appeared to be much faster. I immediately noticed that all of the lag I had experienced before was gone. I had previously noticed lag in Handcent as the number of messages increased. I currently have multiple threads where the number of messages is at the auto delete point I had set, with no lag. Multiple tabs of web pages in Opera Mobile had also been an issue. Scrolling through pictures is also faster.Having not run any benchmarks on the AData card, I can't say for sure whether the previous issues were because of the class of card or just that specific card.I am very impressed with the performance of the Samsung MB-MPAGA card and would recommend any Android user try it.

Very pleased with this product.
The first thing I did when I opened the package was to test the write speed. I copied a 1.7GB file onto the card, the speed hovered around 18.5MB/s and hit 19MB/s briefly. I don't know how to test the read speed so I can't fill you in on that.Besides the apparent great quality you're getting when you buy this card, is that you get a MicroSD card adapter with it. I was really appreciative for this because I thought I was going to have to buy one separately. After looking for a adapter by itself on here prior to receiving this, I was worried I was going to get one that would be incompatible, or not give me the full read/write speeds with this MicroSD.As far as the MicroSD color, the top of the card is the only silver part (Where it has "Samsung 16GB MicroSD HC"), the rest is black (edges and bottom).I would highly recommend this product to anyone. As soon as you open the mailing package, you can tell right away that this is a top-quality product.

Color me different
I was hoping to get the silver colored one but mine arrived as black with orange letters. When inside my Galaxy SII phone (Sprint) it was not a consistent speed between app to app benchmarks, so hard to say what true speed is: SD Tools, AnTuTu, and SD card Tester posted speeds between 6MB/s (read&write) to 10MB/s - one app was slower and another faster. When connected via the USpeed USB 3.0 SD reader on my PC, things looked much better on the speed results. In a USB 3 port a 2GB MKV file (read&write) was doing 20MB/s transfer, and using a USB 2 port it was getting 18MB/s.Even though this is a Class 10 card, on Samsung's website it claims this can do 21MB/s write and 24MB/s read. It does seem to live up to that.
