The paperback book binding is terrible
The illustrations and explanations are very good, especially for someone who has not been a body builder. However, the pages are on such heavy paper stock, they are difficult to turn, and the glue based spine in combination means in a very short time you will have a set of flash cards. The page stock would be nice if it wasn't for the spine, and that is why I give it four stars instead of five.I haven't tried the Kindle version, so I don't know if that would be a better purchase.

Beginners might start with the third section
There is good information in this book. I found it helpful because it included information and graphics on which areas the stretches were targeting and didn't just give me a series of exercises to do. I also like that the stretches were divided into stretches and strengthening. I liked knowing that some of the stretches were more challenging because you were using the the muscles, not just stretching them. Since the author includes so many ways to stretch, the variety of stretching routines in the third section of the book give the beginner a place to start so they are not overwhelmed. You can start with the routines and learn about the rest later if that is your style. I'm no longer a beginner but the book is still useful to me as a reference to create my own stretching routine. After I started yoga I would go home and practice in between classes. I only remember some of the stretches/poses and do them but I still miss some target areas. I use this book to find stretches that will target the areas I don't already have a stretch for. At the Kindle price this has been a good investment even if I only use it occasionally.

Anatomy, stretching and training for cycling
I'm a 60-year-old cyclist in need of rehabilitative stretching. When I 1st received the book I set down and read it 3/4 of the way thru.

This book is terrible. At best it's a simple stretching and body weight exercise book. None of it is particularly specific to cyclists. The author isn't up on the latest science. For example lactic acid is not a waste product that will be removed by stretching.

A must read for all cyclists
This is a great book with photo illustrations showing clearly how to perform all the exercises. It is an excellent compilation of exercises for the novice cyclist as well as the advanced cyclist.

Excellent excellent. Ridiculous cover photo.
For such a well presented, detailed and professional book, why the goofiest picture on the front cover? Complete turnoff for anyone serious about the sport and body well-being. That said, once you open it up, it is a superb presentation. Has immediately enhanced my understanding of the where and why of what is going on with stretching and exercises. The anatomy of the muscles being targeted in each stretch or exercise is just excellent. It has also given me a greater understanding of any injuries or niggling things I've got going on, and therefore how to care for them better. Highly recommend this book. Really simple, yet very professional and helpful. Unbelievably poor choice in cover photo! Hence 4 stars.

Just brilliant
A simply great book that’s full of useful info. Aimed at cycling but is so good at showing stretches and excersises that it’s great for anyone. Pictures and diagrams are superb and idiot proof.

Exactly What I Was Looking For
I have always been told that stretching is important, but never really had a handle on it. I stretched because the coach told me this stretch or that stretch was important. I joined a cycling club, but everyone seemed to stretch before they got to the meeting point (or maybe they didn't).I went looking for a book that would help me, and I was specifically looking for a way to improve my cycling fitness. This book explains the stretch, has good colour photos and descriptions and also has a good graphic showing what part of the body it affects. Additionally, it lists the benefits (and more importantly) the cautions. The book contains a useful information section for new cyclists--though the stretches are aimed at everyone. The idea seems to be that everyone should be grounded and know why stretching is important in the greater context of cycling--including needs and limitations. For the technically inclined there is a good anatomical overview and terminology section. This book was exactly what I was looking for and it certainly hasn't disappointed me.
