9 Inch Hot and Cold Laminator 3016C, Quick Warmup

I was given the Purple Cows Model #3016C as a Xmas gift. The first time I used it on 2/11/19, even though I followed all instructions, the material jammed. The ABS switch did not slide or move in any way, so we had to unscrew the machine to clear the jam by cutting off the material that had not yet jammed in the rollers, and pulling the pleated material out. We also discovered that there was a bump in the metal strip that may have caused the jam. We reassembled the machine, and the same thing happened again. Unfortunately, it was too long after the gift was purchased to return it. Very Unhappy. I would have selected no stars if that was a choice.

I was shocked to see that only one other person provided a review for this product. She gave it a 1 star, but we feel exactly the opposite. My wife is an elementary school teacher. She bought this Purple Cows 9" Laminator Model 3016C from Costco about 7 years ago, and has regularly used it to laminate until it died today when the rollers gave out. We were astonished that it lasted so long for such an inexpensive laminator. Costco doesn't seem to carry it anymore, but we are purchasing the exact same model on eBay because we had such a good experience with it.
