Ordering Another Set As I Type
These things are fantastic and the metal buckle is genius because you can cinch as tight as you like. It took me a minute to realize that you can loop these together to get the size you want but now that I know that I've already ordered another set because I find that in most applications these are more practical than zip-ties and safer than bungee cords. And If you're a fan of the molle system as I'm, then you will find that these straps thread thru nicely. I highly recommend you make this purchase. Thanks for reading, and I hope this helps

Excellent straps, but watch the length
These straps are every bit as good as the description states. One thing that you need to watch for is the length. The length of the strap as advertised is from the buckle to the tip of the Velcro at the other end. The description tells you what the maximum diameter is that can be accommodated by the strap. And I am guessing that many folks use that measure. However, if you are looking for the circumference (the around-ness) you will need to multiple the diameter by pi (3.14159...). (Remember your geometry class with Mr. Francois or Sister Mary Agnes?) That means, for example, that the 36" strap will go around a cylindrical object with a circumference of a bit over 32". Just keep this in mind when you are choosing the bundle of straps that you want to order.

I would buy again or recommend if I need straps
Bought these to replace fraying and coming apart straps on Kawasaki sportbike knee armor pads from Icon.Hold my knee pads in position everytime I ride. Adjustable to length of straps. They are beginning to fray now after near daily use in hot sunny weather and colder rainy days. They have been on knee pads for over 6 months but still hold up in these conditions and use (Southern California).I would buy again or recommend if I need straps.

GOOD, BUT...
There were no instructions in how to use these straps, and it took me a while to figure out exactly how to string them. The designs for all but the shortest straps were not sufficiently flexible as to the length. I didn't buy them specifically for cable bundling, but a variety of uses. When wrapping around an item/cable bundle that was much smaller than the maximum wrap length of the tie, the hook part of the end of the tie goes past the loop portion of the tie, so it would not clamp. So, it seems, the hook portion length of the tie should be longer than what it is.This limits the range of diameters that the tie will clamp.

Used daily for weeks and never failed!
Used on a 4500 mile motorcycle trip to hold baggage to the rear rack, worked flawlessly being removed and installed daily,

Don't rely on these for anything important
I purchased these because i needed this type of strap to hold my mountain bike wheel to the frame while on the car rack and to keep bike frames from swaying on the rack. the specialty ones for this purpose operate the exact same way but were costly in comparison. well after I'd ridden and driven home one day i noticed that the one for the tire was not on the bike. I decided that maybe i hadn't put it on and had left it sitting on the trunk lid and lost it. a couple days later I know that I had used one to hold my vary lightweight road bike frame just to the body of the rack to keep it from swaying (basically no real stress-the bike is secured fully to the rack on the crossarms) - and the strap was missing again. I finally realized that the strap velcro just does not hold well enough. these are not high stress situations (my road bike can be lifted by two fingers over my head- so the force this put on it just to keep it from swaying side to side is minimal) and they came apart. I would only recommend these for maybe cord organization and the like.

Does a good job
I recently bought an HP Omen laptop which I have mounted on a dual-arm monitor mount I got from Amazon. The problem is that my gaming laptop isn't really 'mounted', per se, more like 'sitting loosely on top of thin sheet metal'. So to secure my investment, I literally secured it onto its base with this velcro strap, which does a good enough job. I put it on there snugly, as tight as I could wring it. Once my laptop was strapped, I made sure it's secure by jostling it around, changing its positioning and angle, and I'm happy to report that it did not budge from its base. Why 4-stars, you might be wondering. Well it's because the straps have some sharp-ish corners. This is a rare case where cutting corners would be a good thing, because DAMN those are some sharp corners on those velcro straps.

Useful, but not as much as hoped.
They are well made, and should prove more trustworthy in applications with some tension due to the metal ring. Would buy again. Unfortunately, I wrongly presumed that their construction would allow them to be used at full length or any interval in between, however, there is a patch of hook material at the end, making them primarily useful near full length. If appropriate, the longer straps can be looped with a twist to operate at a shorter length.
