I have been a fan of Govee for a few years now and I can honestly say that the DreamView G1 Pro Gaming kit is the best product to date that has been released by the company.When gaming, the camera accurately picks up colours and changes in brightness creating a much more immersive and enjoyable experience.The new sync option that is included by connecting this to the Govee app is simply incredible. It breathes new life into my other products from Govee, making my whole gaming and lounge area act as one by displaying the colours shown on the screen.I'd highly recommend picking this up!

Lights are Extremely Bright even at 40%, depending on your setup, this may exclude the need for additional lighting for your computer setup/ corner of your room.

Works very well for be was pretty easy to set up and tune find if you set the saturation to 30 % you get the best accuracy with colour I find the side lamps over power the led strip too much it would be nice if you could independently adjust the brightness of them.At normal price this is pretty expensive at the price I got it for £90 I'd say it's a good buy

first I opened the box to find a little mark on the camera which was not a good start... but I began to set it all up anyway, as I was itching for some RGB goodness :)... only to than find later it was some RGB badness :(let me start by saying all the music modes, all the custom/ ambient lighting features all worked absolutely flawlessly.. so if that's just what you are looking for this is an amazing bit of kit, and it will light up your gaming room in any colour you desire, it really does look awesome! and brings a gaming room together.But is was the video setting I mainly purchased it for, to track images on screen and show the relevant projection of colours on the wall for a more immersive experience which govee are very well known for...let me start by saying this new G1 model has alot of flaws and desighn quality issues the brackets it came with have 3m tape on the back which are fantastic and are very very sticky, except the rubber mounting clips holding the led rope light in place. These are made of plastic on 1 side to hold the rope in place, and rubber gripping the other side of the rope to hold it in place.. This rubber keeps moving and popping the light rope slightly out of place.. this rubber mounting grip also peals away from the plastic bracket. which will eventually leave you with useless brackets... But I do believe govee has seen this design flaw! and have now effectively rectified this issue! as they have now made the plastic brackets to be (all plastic) which would be absolutely perfect! as the light rope would remain perfectly in place, and have no chance of popping of the mounting bracket. But unfortunately I must of got old govee stock from amazon warehouse, so mine shipped with the partly rubber brackets which are not very good.. so on with the setup and calibration issues, I noticed there was a black ring like border all the way round the camera almost like a fish eye lens! The other govee cameras do not have this border! But i had some quality control issues! my camera lens was not placed dead center within this border, so I had more black on 1 side than the other! As you may see in my photos I've posted.. So it was very very hard to get all my screen into this calibration area, as most the time it could not see all edges of my screen.. I tried this on my 23,24, and 40 inch screens.. after the initial calibration I'm a go to video mode kinda guy! I realised there was actually a lot more settings in video mode than other govee products.. you had story/action/shooting/and racing... these are all modes to which how fast the bars and light rope react to on screen information, such as moving objects/subjects which I'm assuming anyway.. Now on with the bad, this camera got quite warm to the touch.. As this is the camera, & control unit all in one.. so maybe this produces more heat than other govee models, which you certainly would of thought anyway.But as Heat can affect performance of electronics this is not really good or ideal.. anyway i got past this , I than realised no matter what setting the camera was on, it was simply not sending the relevant colour information back to the bars quick enough! I do know there can be a slight delay maybe half a sec to 1 second max..But this G1 model was just terrible for the speed it relayed back this information if at all!! Most the time it was just not seeing the colours or tracking this information around the screen if at all.. I will upload photos to show you this.. now I'm not quite sure if it was this black border around the camera that wasn't helping .. (which I very much doubt) I do believe govee may of implemented this to block out some of the stray light reflecting off furniture/ornaments etc, as the more you can block out from the surrounding room environment this will only lead to better colour accuracy.. But than I realised the bars aren't as bright as my flow bars.. but again the govee flow bars ( I'd say) are double the thickness, so it would kind of make sense... But than you realise these G1 Bars are far taller than the flow bars, so the light spread/ brightness should become around equal.. But Than I also realised 1 of the USB C ports didn't go in to the socket all the way! It was only going in around half way! whether this is designed like this, which again I doubt.. or if this was the reason i was having some performance issues.. But as I didn't have 2 G1 versions to compare them too i can't be sure... anyway with all these issues I couldn't put up with it not tracking properly.. so it had to go back to amazon unfortunately!... But thanks to Amazon's impeccable customer service and returns policy ( way to go amazon! :) I didn't have an issue! and immediately brought another set of the flow bars pro (version P1) which again, i felt they were much brighter, and had better tracking than this new version I received!..I now plan on buying 2× p1 versions and placing 2 at the side of the tv.. and 1 Bar at top.. and 1 Bar at the bottom.. both these Bars will be horizontally of course, so 4 flow bars on 1 tv.. I will update This review (should this work! ) to maybe help future buyers on thinking about doing the same.. as unfortunately govee do not sell 40 inch light strip versions as of yet! so this will be an awesome solution!If my review helped anyone give me a big thumbs up so I know my review was helpful :)Update.. The horizontally placed top, and bottom bars didnt work unfortunately, it was mixing in with the side bars colours, throwing all the other colours off! So 2 bars were better than 4 in this instance!
