Honestly, I hate these and so do my kids. My husband however, LOVES them. So do all the older Dutch men that tried them! They said they remind them of sen-sen candies that are no longer made. I've never had sen-sen nor do I care for black licorice much, but apparently if you're looking for a strong, salty, black licorice flavor candy comparable to the old sen-sen candy, you'll be really happy with these. I'll be buying them for my husband on a regular basis now and they will be gifts for his friends as well since they all loved them so much! I'll probably stick with a chocolate bar for my kids and I. Haha! ;)

If you want something with a bit of a chew this may not be for you. They are hard candies each slightly smaller than an altoid. They start off super strong with the licorice flavor, but mellow out and get a little salty the more you suck on them.
