Another mini marvel.
Thought I'd try this after buying the siva boogie, apparently voiced after an engl, never tried one so can't comment, I do own a Hughes and kettner if that's any thing to judge by. Well plugged in and immediately thought its faulty, this takes a lot of dialling in, but worth the time, I put a Friedman golden pearl into it and it sounds glorious, these are serious amps ,dont let the size and cost fool you.

Was exactly what I was expecting.
I was looking for a low watt high gain amp for home practice and this was exactly what I was looking for. I don't usually play clean sounds, I like my clean sound to be overdriven, I only crank the gain a little and it sounds like I imagined it would, of course results will very depending what kind of pickups you're using. There is a bit of hum, more noticable when the gain is up higher, but every amp I have does the same thing due to electrical interference, so I can't say it's the amps fault, all in all, it's the best sounding practice amp I have in mg house and I love it. Also, it's super small but has a solid heft and feel to it, doesn't feel like a toy.

Cute.
I got on a tangent of wanting to turn an old Crate combo amp into a speaker cabinet and I needed something to test it with. Was basically just looking for a super cheap amp head and ended up with this little guy right here. Not only do my ancient speakers still work, this little thing pushes them good and sounds pretty decent to boot. Not sure how much it sounds like an Engl Savage -- maybe a bit? It's not super high gain like I know the Savage can do but it's pretty darn crunchy. As some others have pointed out, the EQ on this thing is a little bit weird. The knobs don't really react as you'd expect an amp EQ to react. The frequency sweep is a bit odd and they can really change the overall output volume as well. It's just something you'll have to experiment with to see what works. Not really a fan of the headphone/line output sound. The cab emulator can't be toggled off and the overall sound of the amp just isn't the same as running it into a cab. Far more fuzzy/buzzy and not as articulate. Definitely would not buy this planning to use it as anything but an amplifier head. Haven't gotten to try it with a DI box and the cab connected so that might fair differently but as an exclusively headphone/direct amp, it's not that great IMHO.Either way, for all the gripes and shortcomings, I actually really like how it sounds through my old 2x12 combo and the thing is just adorable with its little orange LEDs behind the grille as if you could even FIT a 12AX7 tube inside that tiny case. Check out Hotone's demo video on Youtube because the sound there is pretty much what I'm hearing so if you're into it, go for it. Wouldn't pay much than about $70 for one (their prices seem to vary greatly from 50-100), they're cool little amps but seem more like novelties than a serious piece of kit; a glorified distortion pedal which just also happens to be able to push a speaker cab.

Skeptical No More
Skeptical No More. Was hesitant based on some reviews of this amp, but I could not be happier. Super authentic ENGL tones coming from this tiny thing. I am running either a pedalboard or my Boss GT100 with this amp and it just amazes me. I also bought the Heart Attack amp and the tones you can get from these.....just awesome. This one actually has a little higher output than the Heart Attack. The two amps really sound like what they are trying to mimic.

Never works.
I have had 2 now. One was dead on arrival. The second was shipped with a mismatched power supply. The jack wouldn't even fit. Used the power supply from the first to test the second. Terrible is an understatement. Static, hiss and sounds like hot garbage. Avoid these trinkets at all cost.
