Great Item!
I bought this unit for my office/home because we are very heavy smokers. I've tried all different types of filters and filtration systems to remove the order and actual smoke from my office/home. I finally came across this unit, and it is amazing!! Nothing compares to it. It is so quiet, and works so well, from the second we turned it on we could see it immediately start to remove the smoke. This unit is 100% worth every penny. If you need something strong, this unit is the best. Also, I email the company and asked how long it would take to ship, they called me the same day, and said they were going to prepare it and ship it the same day, at no extra cost!! I am 100% satisfied all around with the unit and the company. Thanks for a great holiday treat!

THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE
I ordered the 5000 DSX, which is an upgrade from the DS with a larger carbon filter, with expedited shipping - it took a month and a half to arrive. It was not shipped out until 2 weeks after my order! And then it was shipped to California! (I live in Maine).And that was just the beginning. I had no way of knowing what the filters were supposed to look like so I didn't realize that it came with the wrong ones - and that the crucial pre-filter was MISSING - until a bad smell started coming from the unit and I ordered replacement filters. Because of missing the pre-filter, and having the wrong outer filter, when I put the new filters in the unit was still working poorly, although the smell wasn't quite as bad - I believe the VERY expensive carbon filter had deteriorated prematurely as a result of this error. I emailed the gentleman I had ordered the filters from and NEVER GOT A REPLY. I then spent 2 months - from Sept 16 until Dec 4 - trying to reach customer service by phone. Usually the message said "the mailbox is full" although I did manage to leave 3 messages, and never got a return call. When I finally reached someone, she simply said "We've been having trouble with our phones." (And email? For 2 months?) I explained the situation and said I expected a replacement of the very expensive carbon filter which had deteriorated as a result of their error, and she said too much time had passed since my purchase, and she would do nothing. I said the warranty is a year, and she said "the filters aren't under warranty." Please note: once you buy an air purifier, you can only use their replacement filters and parts. Avoid this terrible company for such a large investment.

Questionable Customer Service on Exec 5000
The Allerair units when they work, perform very well. However customer service which is in Canada are very difficult when there is an issue. After several iterations of discussion of product failure and having sent photos and now even being asked to send more information I have given up. Even the retail store where the product was purchased said only Allerair customer service can handle and resolve product failures and they could not help. Therefore if your unit works it is a very good product but good luck if it breaks. Remember this is a $700 unit retail cost.
