This scale is great for portable use in the weighing of small items like rings, charms, and other small objects. NOT recommended for professional use where ounces cost money.

This works good but much smaller than expected and it's very discreet.

I first stumbled on these little gems about 3 years ago.. I’ve used so many different types of scales but this one is by far the best in my book. Small, compact and completely hidden in plain sight. I’ve ordered several as gifts over the years but I’ve always used wish in the past so I was a little nervous about this one but it’s exactly what I was hoping it would be.Now to the most important part— Accuracy. This little guy is spot on. Every. Single. Time. I’ve been pretty tough on these things in the past, throwing it in my purse, knocking it off the table, desk, dresser whatever it was sitting on it’s gotten violently knocked to the ground at some point or another. I even tossed this dude out the window only to go back and get it later that day.. still on point. A++++ frfrThe top slides off easily but it’s not too loose to where it ever slides off on its own. I use the top as a tray. I find it weighs more efficiently this way. Tares to exactly -2.78 pretty much every single time. But don’t be concerned if it reads at -2.77 every once in a while. Might mean your battery is low or it could be nothing. Just make sure the plate is centered accurately. If it’s reading super crazy make sure that the metal plate itself is “centered” on the scale- you can actually move it a degree or twin just by making sure it’s straight. Just don’t push it too hard and mess up the integrity of the scale. If it’s not budging then let it be. Turn it off and turn it back on again.The back side is where the button battery is kept. I’ve never had one die on me in the past but this one has read “lo” athe last couple times I’ve used it. Which isn’t often. So I recommend getting a couple extra just in case. Also, the little plate on the back where the battery is kept is a little loose. It seems like it could possibly slide off without warning. Especially if it’s thrown inside a bag or slide into a back pocket. I’ve been meaning to put a little piece of tape on mine but it hasn’t been a huge issue for me, but it is something I thought I’d mention.I’m very careful with this one and I try to keep it looking as fresh as possible at all times- meaning nothing ever touches the actual scale itself, just the tray. Then I wipe the tray down with a alcohol pad.. I’ve done several times without issue but this last time I guess I rubbed too hard and the chrome on the front (where the “buttons” are) wiped right off. Still a little bummed about that but now I know and so do you.
