Awesome to play catch at night

Very cool gift for my nephew. He loved that it glowed in the dark!

It’s great, I really love it. It feels high-quality, real leather, and has the same weight as a baseball. I would love to see an option for interchangeable lights (since the illuminated part is removable), so it would be nice to have a set that includes a ball with 3 types of lights, or the option to buy the lights separately

Overall I like this ball a lot. In Fall, baseball practice usually ends at sunset. But my boy and his teammates often want to hang around and still play catch. This ball is perfect for that - it lets them play past sunset, and it's fun to just see the lights fly through the air. I'm inclined to buy more for other teammates as gifts just to see a bunch of these flying through the air at the same time. My one complaint, and this is what stops it from being a five-star product, is the battery/switch situation. I bought the "switch" version which does allow it to be turned on and off without taking the battery out. From what I gather from the reviews, that's a big improvement over the previous model that didn't have a switch at all. But it's still difficult to do - the coin-twist unlocking is easy enough, but the switch is so tiny and awkwardly placed, it's hard to turn on. And replacing the battery (which is A23 btw) is also a little hard. Because of those things, I feel like it's not something you can just give to a kid and expect them to be able to do themselves, which is unfortunate because this is a device that I think kids would otherwise love. This product would be so much better if there were a way to turn it on and off without having to open it up, and if were rechargeable instead of needing replacement batteries. I feel like both of those things would be easy enough to do - a simple recessed switch and a USB charging port on the outside of the ball would solve everything wrong with this device, and make it easier for younger kids to use without adult assistance. TLDR: I like it a lot, but make sure you buy the "switch" version, and know that even that one still is clumsy to operate, especially for young kids.

I liked the heft to this ball, and it feels like it’ll last for years in playing catch. The light doesn’t strobe by design, and it doesn’t strobe in movement (like cheap LED can sometimes). I LIKE, how it takes enough effort to turn on and off, this makes the item feel durable. The mechanisms to changing the battery feels strong enough to handle impact.

My son is a huge baseball fan, so I wanted to find something special for him. Spark Catch was the perfect surprise! Now we spend hours playing catch after dark. It’s not just another baseball - it’s an experience. Watching him light up with an excitement every time he uses it has made this the best gift I’ve ever gotten him. A must have for any baseball boy!

Got this for my 9-year-olds birthday and he just adores the sport of baseball. He opened and tossed it to me and I was immediately impressed with the quality. Finally, we took it out at dark and played catch for about 30 minutes. we are more than impressed. I'm glad that I went with the green version. I feel like Red or Blue might be a bit tough to see, but maybe I'm wrong. Would highly recommend this product. It would be nice to be able to hit it with a bat, but I understand as to why you can't.

This ball is a fun concept, but its design is really bad! The battery needs to be placed in a compartment that is inside the ball. They send you a coin to open where you need to install the battery. It's easy to open. However, the on/off switch is inside as well. You have to fight it just to press it down with enough force to twist the coin to close the compartment. Once you turn the ball on and get the compartment closed, you just fought it so much that it would be a pain in the rear to open back up in order to switch it off. Plus, the ad makes it seem like it lights up when you catch it, but no. The light just stays on until you turn it off. My 7 year old hated it because he thought it lit up when it was caught and he couldn't open and close the compartment to turn it on and off himself. So we just turned it on and it's going to stay on until the battery dies, then it's going in the trash.

We bought the previous model last year and this year's is significantly brighter. It holds up very well and is a blast for kids and adults to play catch with in the dark.

It’s made for « soft pitches » on soft surfaces (grass). We tested it out without being careful at all and we really enjoyed it at night, it truly glows bright but hardly resisted the laser pitches we missed on gravel roads at the cabin between us 3 drunk brothers-in-law 😂! A bit pricy, but if you’re careful, it’s a cool gadget!

Works very well. It takes a bit of time to get adjusted to the light. Best used at dusk when there is still a little light, and you can see the person you are throwing at. The "on" switch is small, but using a tooth pick or nail works well to activate. Feels like a real ball. Good quality. Used for a few hours with no problems yet.
