Fantastic build quality
Why buy when there are cheaper knock offs? Because while the others look like they are the same and their specs are the same, they are really not the same. The cot fabric is tightest of any that I tested. I would have loved to find a cheaper option, but after side by test testing on my 5’11” 260lb body, this one is hands down then best.

Helinox Heaven
I love how easy this is to set up and disassemble! The carry bag is awesome. A must have to be off the floor or the ground. It does help to have a sleeping pad on the cot for added comfort.

Sturdy, Comfortable, Easy Set Up
As I get older it is harder to get up off ground. Bought this to replace my Alps Mountaineering cot primarily for height. It is great to have a cot same height as sofa to sit on in tent and easy to get up from. Adds tent space with room for gear underneath. Only problem causing drop in rating is feet quickly wore holes in my heavy duty Lone Rider Motorcycle tent floor. It is easier to set up than Alps but a little challenging to corral the supports when rolling up to go in bag. It does fit easily back in bag.It is also good for more than camping. My grandson uses it when he visits. I took it to hospital to sleep on in my wife’s room for a few weeks. With a light air mattress and Helinox thermal cot cover I was able to sleep well. Arrangement a little narrower than single bed but arrangement as comfortable as nearly any mattress I have slept on. Hospital staff was impressed.

The Best Cot I've Ever Owned
I'm 6'3', 200lbs, 66 y/o, two TKAs.Was tired of grunting & groaning up and out of a typical 9" high camp cot.All the other tall cots were heavy and bulky.Given a good return safety net, I pulled the trigger on this jaw droppingly expensive cot.OMG! I see the light!Buy it if you can afford it - it hits all the high marks for lightness, durability, height, stability, quality, and ingenuity.I'm going to buy a second one!

SO EXPEENSIVE! How can a cot be so expensive.
Even though it's expensive, I went ahead and ordered; with the thought that if not completely amazed, I'd send it back. When it came, I assembled it. OK. I'm amazed!I've been using a ThermaRest lite cot for 7 years and at least a hundred nights. It has been good. But its a struggle to assemble and disassemble with all those parts and having to hand-tension the canvas. AND, it's so low to the ground, one has to crawl onto it and off in the morning. I hate crawling around. Came across the Helinox High last week.Boy, oh boy, is it expensive! How can a cot be so expensive. When it arrived, I sat on the floor and assembled. FOUR minutes later, it was ready for sleep. FOUR MINUTES! The ThermaRest took over 10 minutes with all those parts that fall apart as the cot is being assembled. And the comfort is much better. The fabric is stretched so taught, facilitated by the lever-action tighteners.First time on it even without a mat, I was totally sold. It's a keeper.Getting onto the cot at night and off in the morning is so much better than crawling around on the tent floor. When getting on, I just sit, spin, and extend my legs, and lay my head down; just like a real cot. ZZZZZ.To get off, just swing your legs to one side, feet on the floor, and stand up! Oh so much better.

Sleeping in my closet with too many houseguests for the holidays
I bought this cot about 5 years ago. I planned on using it for camping, but never have. I used it once at a swim meet for the kids to sit on and rest a bit between prelims and finals. Just recently, I had too many guests stay and gave up our rooms to the elders. I pulled out this cot to have my 11 year old sleep on it. It was narrow enough to fit in my closet so I thought I’d set it up there. He didn’t want to sleep on it because he wanted to be in a room with a tv. So I tried to do it. I actually liked the privacy of being in the closet versus being in the living room. The kicker was that this cot managed to keep me comfortable for 5 nights!! I was worried that it would be too hard and too narrow compared to my lux bed. I purchased a camping pad with hopes it would get here to help with my sleep, but it didn’t arrive on time. While I think it would have made the experience better, I was very comfortable. The only downside is that I toss and turn when I sleep and there is no room for tossing. The insert legs were extremely helpful. During the day, I pulled it on my balcony for extra lounging space. I have a few helinox products that I use frequently, this one was a pleasant surprise.

Excellent light weight cot
This is an excellent, easy to assemble camp cot. It’s lightweight and packs down small (which is why it is so expensive), but it is also strong/durable, and most importantly…it doesn’t sag at all. This thing kept it’s rigidity in 40+ degree temp swings and multiple nights. The setup mechanism is ingenious. I wish I had this cot for the last 22 years. Army cots are notoriously impossible to set up all the way. So many sleepless nights could have been avoided with this thing. The suspension material is not insulated so you will need some sort of sleep pad if you’re in colder weather. It’s great for summer though as it will keep you cooler. My only complaint is that, based on research I thought the leg extenders were sepearte. It would be nice to be able to leave them home when backpacking to save weight, but they are shock corded to the rest of the supports. If you’re looking for a lightweight backpacking cot, I suggest buying the low version, and then investing in risers if you also want to use for basecamp or car camping type trips. It will cost significantly more, but increases the utility. If you go this route however, you CAN still set up the cot in a low profile configuration. You just have the unnecessary weight of the leg extenders dangling there.Overall, highly recommend!

Worth every penny!
Just got back from an 85 mile float on the Aniak River in Alaska. Completely remote and camp was set up gravel bars every night. The outfitter had provided these cots. I can't imagine spending the evenings on anything else. I had a therma rest pad I put on top which added some paint and insulation. The four of us agreed that this was one of the very best pieces of equipment we had on the trip. If you'll be doing a lot of camping lol at this as an investment into your gear. Your back will thank you for it.
