If you know someone who likes to paint or into arts and crafts this is really good. The wood is raw and ready to painted. You can add stickers, spray paint it, stain it etc. it’s sturdy and can hold many different items

We got this to make into a card box for someone's wedding. The grain in the wood was nice and the joining of the corners looks good.

I read the reviews and though I will try it anyway, please be smarter than me and DON’T.It came broken, I did not even get the chance to open it, you can see it’s broken trough the plastic wrapping.And beside that it looks CHEAP, not worth it, it’s way overpriced.For the same price you might find something better.

Bought two boxes, both of the wood had cracked and chipped, one even chipped at the hinge. So they’re Perry much useless now. Not even cheap to begin with!

There are many kinds of wood that can be used to make a box. Some better than others. This one was just ok. My biggest gripe is the bottom. It is too thin. I'll try to reinforce it somehow before it falls out. With some work this could be a descent box. Hinges are good and the lid will need some padding when closing. Not bad for my first wooden box (for the price).

Broken upon arrival

It’s okay…would not order again. The hinge is breaking off and the box does not close evenly. :(

This product has no quality whatsoever. The pictures used in the description make it look lovely. It is Not. It is cheap and nasty. Poor quality. Don’t waste your money. This one was delivered damaged, not through the delivery, it was made damaged and they still thought it was ok to send out!!!

Not what I expected, really. The base isn't built-in. It's a thin piece of plywood slid through grooves, just as you see in MDF drawers or loo roll tidies. Not an issue, unless you plan to stack books, paper, or anything else heavy in there. Unfortunately, that was precisely my intention. I'll still use it to store all my daughter's log books and crafts from reception, as intended, but I'll stick some pads on the bottom and reinforce it. I recommend you do the same, unless you want the base to give in and crack in time. Also, mine was cracked at the base upon delivery, which comes as no surprise given the thin layer of bubble wrap. On the other hand, it's large and spacious, and I really appreciate the rounded edges.

I searched for hours before settling on this box as it was just the right size and I could paint it and decorate it any way I saw fit to do so. However, even though the packaging was complete and sealed, one of the hinges on the box had pulled the wood away from the back of the box, so any opening or shutting of the box would eventually lead to the hinge separating from the box completely. Considering the price I paid for it, I was certainly expecting something a little more hard wearing and not fragile and flimsy. Even worse, I can’t afford to pay the return on such a large item and then wait weeks for a refund when I need a replacement box NOW.0/10 would not recommend, look elsewhere.

The box itself is decent enough. Hinges a little flimsy but will work for light packing of things. My biggest problem is the brown colour is TOTALLY wrong! The colour on the ad looks more mahogany than brown. The colour of the actual product is a baby room brown. Looks like a children’s box rather than something I can use as display pieces in the living room. Very disappointed.Have been sent replacements however two replacements that do not match/of the same type and two different colours and the one is damaged on the corner. HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED. Do not purchase from this supplier as they cannot get the basics right.

Where do I start , flimsy carcase barely 5mm thick made of strips edge glued together of some wood NOT wood I recognise with a very distinct odour ( not pleasant ), very open soft grain little strength you can bend the whole front and sides . The base is ply wood and judging by how easy to deform not very thick as this is not actually the base but is about 5mm up, the box resting on the bottom of the sides any thing of any weight stored is going to break this . the lid is secured by the thinnest pair of hinges I have seen . inserted in slots down in to the thin wood first time anyone over opens the lid ( no stay or strap) or pushes down on the lid either the hinges will break or the wood will split . I think that is enough I am returning the 2 I bought , do not bother with these unless you want light flimsy storage you will find better . I would not even pay £5.00 for these as they would be to much trouble .
