Works well

A friend of mine recommended buying a strop for that "extra edge" when sharpening my knives. I am glad I took his advice... I have used it several times already and have gotten great results. However, I was not expecting an actual bent nail attached to the swivel. Honestly, for $10 I am blown away by what a difference in sharpness a strop makes. The bottom line, the strop has quality leather, is made to last, and is a bargain for the price.

Be aware that, despite the pic, you are buying only ONE unit. Also, its much shorter in length than what it may appear via the pic (it does tell you the length, however; I ckd, afterwards). Those caveats having been stated, I DID keep the unit; and it works well/like it's supposed to. Recommended - just be aware.

He was a barber. It works for me, too. There IS a difference. No matter what quality sharpening method you use, you will appreciate having a strop for an edge finish/top-off. There IS a good bit of 'cool factor' to using a strop. Put that with the end-result...you will be happy. I keep mine hanging on my kitchen range oven handle. A tool that is handy to use will be used more often. With it on-hand and easy to use...I use it often for kitchen and general cutlery. The bent nail looking hanger is cute... AND swivels/holds the strop perfectly.

Somewhere I saw it way back in my grant uncle house and thought it would be cool to have. It is actually good for honing knives, though there might be more modern way to do that. The twisted nail used for a hood is cool.

This is my first one ever, I’m pretty happy with it and it’s a decent quality strop belt too. My straight razor that I haven’t used yet is already pretty sharp, this strop just gave it a extra sharp edge to it, so, no complaints here
