LAUNCH X431 PAD VII, 2025 J2534 Reprogramming Tool, ECU Online Coding, Topology Map Intelligent Diagnostic Scanner, 2 Years Free Update, Upgraded of X431 PAD3/ V+, 60+ Services, Bi-Directional Control

I did a lot of research before splashing out on this due to the cost, but I have to say, so far, very impressed.This is the Launch Pad VII and is basically the 'world' version of the Launch 'Euro Tab III' which is sold by the European part of Launch, but is about £3000 cheaper than the Euro tab! This version only comes with the tablet and the VCI which plugs into the OBD port in the car. The 'Euro Tab III' comes with all the extra bits, so a boroscope, battery tester, key programmer and TPMS kit, but I already have the boroscope and battery tester which only cost about £50 max each if you buy them individually, and I don't have any need for the key programmer or TPMS in my work. The actual software on this tablet is identical to the software on the Euro Tab to my knowledge, and is really what you are paying for. So for me, it's a top of the range, dealer level diagnostic tool for a fraction of the price of either the Euro tab, or an Autel equivalent.The tablet is, as expected, very sturdy and will survive life in a garage, but I have to say, the actual hard storage case for the tablet is ridiculous, it is the size of a large suitcase! I honestly thought I'd been delivered the wrong item when it arrived, but it certainly isn't going to get broken or lost if you do choose to keep it in there!The tablet is a decent Android tablet, so on top of the Launch software you can use Google, have access to the Google Play shop, and hey, you could even use it watch Netflix if you wanted! This makes it great to google stuff, send emails, or watch You Tube tutorials for repairs if you need to while working on a repair.I have found that the internet does sometime drop out which is annoying as you have to reboot, but that's when I'm at the extremes of the router, so outside etc, I guess it would be easy enough to then hook it up to run off a hot spot on my phone, but having no SIM itself this could be an issue if you was a mobile mechanic etc? It does need the internet to work. A future version where you could pop in a PAYG SIM card would be great.The link up to the VCI is super fast and diagnostic set up is dead simple and very impressive, you simply run a smart search and then scan through any red bits, easy. I love the fact you can then run a professional looking diagnostic report which you can simply email back to yourself from the machine and then print out for the customer, you can even add your garage logo etc to make it look even better. You can then run a post report showing all the codes cleared after repair.Finally, a mention of the X431 'Fix' element. Basically, for every fault code you have two options, you can press a button which automatically runs a google search and brings back all the relevant You Tube videos and forum threads which is really helpful, or you can click on the X431 'Fix' button, this then takes you into Haynes Pro, BUT, on this version you need to buy a Haynes Pro subscription, I think, with the Euro Tab you get Haynes Pro included, but again, you are paying more than £3000 more! I already have a Haynes Pro subscription, so I have simply linked this up, this then takes you in to Haynes Pro where you can get all the details you need. Again, very impressive. I do need to add, doing it this cheap way means you do have to manually search within Hayne Pro for the fault code, on the Launch expensive version I believe it pre-populates the search, but I'm not paying three grand extra to save having to type in a fault code.I haven't had a need to use the 'remote diagnostic' where you can purchase eternal support to recode etc while the machine is plugged in, I tend to work on the older cars, but in my research this seemed to get good feedback.In summary, it is very expensive, and only you know if its value for money for what you need, but it is a current top of the range diagnostic tool, and it is very impressive and has certainly added value and saved me time. Overall, I can see this over time more than paying for itself. This is a cheap way of getting software this good, but with that, you have to do more of your own setting up etc.I couldn't find many actual reviews when I doing my research so hopefully this is helpful. Likewise, a lot of the sites selling launch tools are Chinese and have a feel of a scam, although no doubt they are all official Launch dealers, it was just for the price of this machine I preferred the security of purchasing through Amazon, and it was also as cheap as any of the overseas sites.

Simply a superb diagnostics machine, I have been in the trade for over 25 years and owned many different diagnostics including Snap-On, Bosch, Delphi and Autel and this is by far the best I have ever used great work Launch an outstanding customer experience, In the short time I have owned it I have already diagnosed and repaired a Mercedes that even Mercedes themselves said couldn't be repaired and this machine found the correct software and reloaded the ECM that had been manipulated and had the DPF and EGR software coded out, I did obviously replace the DPF as well, the vehicle is now responding as normal and all emissions control have been restored, The vehicle voltage function is excellent I have quickly and accurately now diagnosed several alternator/charge system faults without the need to go and get my multimeter out and as you can graph it like a scope you can see how the voltage responds as you add and remove vehicle loads, it has increased our capabilities 10 fold and has already made our days much more pleasant with this now our main diagnostics we are performing the diagnostics tasks quicker and more accurately then ever, it is a pleasure to use i actually now look forward to using it, this is without a doubt a high level peace of kit with Dealer/Manufacture levels of diagnostics and coding and we can happily say that as we have several dealer level machines including FDRS (Ford) and Xentry (Mercedes) we have not needed to use them since we have had this and even Xentry couldn't fix the above vehicle and this X431 Pad VII did, To finish in my master techs own words this thing is awesome finally one that works more time to drink tea nowJust added don’t believe the bull email of a gift if you leave a positive review it will never happen so take the reviews with a pinch of salt although I was honest it is a cracking bit of kit

I decided to give it a go and try to LAUNCH X431 PAD VII.Previously I was using Autel products but they have only 1 year of updates and Launch convinced me with their 2 year of updates provided with their equipment.It's a great value for the money you pay.I was positively surprised with LAUNCH X431 PAD VII.It really is a professional and sturdy computer.It arrived in a huge case with all the bits and bops included.For the price of around £2000 you're getting a fully functional set that allows you to diagnose and service modern vehicles.It's easy to use and so far I've had no trouble using it.The battery last for many days.I've never used the topology before and it takes few times to get used to it but there are few options to choose, how you want to proceed with the diagnostic.The WiFi connection is solid and fast. Computer connects with vehicles fast, smooth and with no issues.I'm very glad I decided to buy this equipment.
