Great sleep
My boyfriend has had issues sleeping for awhile and slept great the first night of having this blanket. I got the "queen size" and it is only big enough for one person. It does not cover my whole queen size bed so I recommend sizing up! Other than that it is great I'd suggest getting a cover too because washing the blanket itself would not be possible unless you spot clean it.

i like it
the reviews on some other blankets were scaring me, but this one was fine. it’s hasn’t fallen apart, it’s cooling just like it says, and it’s heavy.

Not for everyone.
I've never used a weighted blanket before and decided to finally try one out, and this product had a lot of positive reviews. Overall, my experience feels like an outlier (unless you look at any reviews 2 stars and lower), and it just wasn't for me. The product wasn't defective, just unsatisfactory for my personal use. I'll explain more in detail below:SIZE:Upon receiving and preparing the blanket, I did notice that the queen size is definitely not 1:1, but smaller as mentioned in other reviews. It filled about 85% of my duvet cover. If you're not using a duvet cover for it, then you probably won't care, but if you are and you like to have your bed appear tidy, then I'd recommend going up to a larger size.WEIGHT:Sometimes I can be a fussy sleeper, constantly changing positions and adjusting myself to find the right spot to get comfortable in, and the weight made that more difficult; it kept me pinned in place so to speak where I can't toss and turn easily. Some of you might like it, but I didn't.COMFORT:I read a lot of reviews saying how this blanket made them feel exceptionally comfortable and helped with aches/pains, which made me wonder why I seemed to feel the exact opposite. I'm a side sleeper, with almost daily problems related to aches/pains and general soreness when I wake up in the morning. Someday I'll upgrade my mattress to help with that, but back to how this relates to the blanket, it seemed to make my aches/pains worse as the weight pushed my body down into a more unnatural (curved/bowed) position into the mattress that basically made the memory foam - meant to support and conform to my body shape - useless. I tried to fall asleep for about an hour and was too uncomfortable to continue using it, and immediately removed it and took my regular feather-filled duvet back, where I felt better immediately and actually fell asleep.DISCLAIMERS/WARNINGS:Since I only tried the weighted blanket for literally an hour the day it arrived I cannot speak to the quality of the materials and how long this will last, but I am kind of glad I didn't like how it felt as it justified returning it for a refund, especially since I've seen some reviews mention how the material is polyester and not cotton, and how the glass beads/shards eventually made their way out and caused problems. The thought of one day having a pouch rip, spilling glass shards everywhere is a worrying one. Especially if someone has small children or a pet. That alone should be a potential red flag for future buyers, where of course you don't have to take anyone's word for, but purchase and use at your own risk.

I Bought Seven Of Them!
Last year (in 2018) I bought my team of tech recruiters Harry and David Gift Baskets as holiday gifts, and they all loved them. I wanted to do something different for the team in 2019. So while walking through Costco a few weeks ago I saw a weighted blanket for sale. I didn't buy it, but the idea of weighted blankets stayed on my mind over the next two weeks. Then it hit me. Weight blankets would be the perfect holiday gift for my team this year! They're interesting, unique, useful, unexpected, and something they could have for a very long time.So I jumped on Amazon and started looking around for affordable, highly rated weighted blankets. That's when I came across the Weighted Idea Weighted Blanket. They came in a variety of colors, but in the 60X80 size...the dark gray, 15 lb blanket was the most affordable ($43.99 each). So I bought five of them, chose the gift wrapping option for an extra $5 and off they went via prime two-day shipping to my team members in Dallas, New York, Boston, & Atlanta. As my recruiters received their surprise blankets over the next couple of days, I started to get messages from each one of them saying how much they had always wanted a weighted blanket and how much they liked the gifts. Given how pleased they were with the blankets, I decided to purchase two more...one for myself and one for my wife. That's right a total of seven blankets! I'm 5'10" 220 lbs so I got myself a gray 20 lb blanket. My wife is 5'3" 135 - 145 lbs depending on how much she runs, so I got her a white with yellow flowers 15 lb blanket. Hers was a little more costly at $63.99.So what are my thoughts on the blanket? Make no mistake about it, the 20 lb blanket is heavy! I weighed it on the scale and it weighed in at 20.3 lbs. The 15 lb version is no lightweight either. You can carry them around but it certainly takes some effort. I slept with mine on top of the comforter on our bed last night and I could barely move my legs and body, but it felt good. When I woke up in the morning it was even tougher to move my legs and body. I guess my muscles had relaxed overnight, making the blanket feel even heavier. I would not recommend the 20 lb blanket for a woman. I simply think it would be way too heavy.I don't have anxiety, depression, or any of the other mental disorders weighted blankets claim to impact. But I do have a hard time sleeping through the night. I slept pretty good the first night with the blanket. I'll have to continue testing it in order to adequately review its use as a sleep aid.Regarding quality...the stitching is top notch. There are no loose beads. No weird smells. The cotton material seems durable. And the gray color is nice and masculine. The white with yellow flowers version is very pretty and my wife likes it a lot. I give this blanket my full endorsement so far. Based on initial impressions of this $43 blanket ($63 for my wife's), I don't know why someone would pay $150-$200 for a weighted blanket. I guess some people prefer a plush or fuzzy blanket, which this one is not. However, is a fuzzy weighted blanket worth an extra $100 or more? Well that's up to you. See my attached pics.
