My husband takes it everyday and is very pleased with it.

The ingredients work, they just do. This one has much more than usual supplements that are usually just 5g arginine and maybe some citrulline. The thing is, from Amazon to GNC to vitamin stores, usually the drink mixes taste absolutely - I'm not exaggerating - disgusting/nauseating. Try mixing them with something and it's now fruity-nasty. And I don't get repulsed easily. I often will measure out caffeine powder (200mg) and drink it mixed with an ounce of water (and need a chaser, but not bad bad). If you know, caffeine tastes awful.I've had at least 4 major brands of powder (or you can do the 7 horse pills if you want 5g arginine 2g citrulline - with a chalky coating often that does not go down smooth - they're solid pills with no gel cap most all of the time) that literally taste like, I can't emphasize enough how much I'm not joking, caffeine + the smell and taste you get in your mouth when you've come across rotten fish (I know, once our deep freeze circuit went out while we were on vacation and 2 weeks of summer heat + a couple bags of Costco size frozen fish = a smell you'll never forget, and a taste in your mouth from that smell) + baking soda/powder.I mixed this in an Ikea kid's cup (not that diluted) with the scoop and I stirred it with a spoon, put it to my mouth nervously, and then, I was like, "Okay, not bad." It must be hard to hide the taste of arginine.I take this for heart and bedroom benefits (take this 45 minutes before). Now, your wife will benefit in a very similar way that you do (look it up if you don't know) in the bedroom. Arginine stimulates blood flow. Try and get your wife to take 5 horse pills or drink something that makes her want to throw up before bed!There is a slight chance that if this is your first time taking this much arginine that you'll have a trip to the bathroom with a watery bowel movement. Good news, one, it's not an all-day stomach disrupter, more like a one time I've got to go, and two, the next time you take it, even with my sensitive stomach nothing like that happened again. But if you're really nervous, I'd start with 1/2 scoop for a few days and work your way up. It's a quick titration.

If we can believe the content statement, this product is a well formulated heart health supplement. Recent price increases are forcing me to an alternative supplement product.

This is one of two similar supplement drink mixes from this brand (two different flavors) targeting the Cardiovascular system. They are very similar with some differences in compositiin and balance of ingredients. Both have 5000mg L-Arginine and 1000mg L-Citrulline (which converts to L-Arginine in the body) which together help increase NO (nitric oxide) which enhances blood flow.The proprietary blends are a bit different in balance and contents. This one includes concentrated sea minerals from Trace Minerals in ConcenTrace, which provides more than 72 ionic trace minerals (from the Salt Lake) to help provide what our diets tend to lack due to poor choices and/or depletion of minerals and nutrients in our soils. Additionally, this provides vit K2, necessary for the absorption and utilization of D3 in addition to its protective importance to the cardiovadcular system, utilization of proteins, and support in a wide variety of bodily systems and functions.I am glad to see this utilizes the active form of B12, methylcobalamin though I would like to see a much larger dose as this product is ingested, rather than sublingual, and intestinal absorption is limited. Also glad to see the D3 form of vit D is used, as this is much more available to the body than D2. This product has a good blend of basic vitamins. A higher dose of Vit C would also be nice.I wish propietary blends would give the amounts of each ingredient. If one is already taking hawthorn for instance, it's rather important to know how much more is in this supement. In protecting thier blends they do a great disservice to the customer in this way.Thumbs up that this has the GMP certification, which tells me they take their product seriously enough to ensure it meets at least GMP standards. It's hard to decide which of the two supplements to take. Perhaps I will try alternating them every other day.

I selected this product for review mainly because it contains l-arginine and hawthorn berry extract. I have a-fib and have read that hawthorn berry is now prescribed by some cardiologists in the UK for a-fib patients because it helps regulate heartbeats. I take a hawthorn berry extract supplement but wanted to try this product for both the hawthorn berry and l-arginine. I've been taking 1000mg of l-arginine and taurine twice daily for the past couple of months and have noticed that my heartbeat is much more regular and I rarely feel it flopping around in my chest like a fish anymore. I still take a-fib medication but I have been able to greatly lower the daily dosage. I think this is a very good supplement to take for heart health, and it tastes pretty good too.
