Gourmet Dark Chocolate Covered Almonds by Its Delish (10 lbs)

This package arrived on a record hot day in South Florida...need I say more! And I didn't get home until 3:30 pm expecting to find a pool of melted chocolate on my porch... Not so. The chocolate was so well packed... insulated bubble packing plus icepacks! So the 5 lbs. of chocolate covered almonds were in perfect condition and so absolutely delicious! I am looking forward to purchasing more certified Kosher Parve noshes from them!

I live in SW Florida and have ordered this item several times. The package has to sit outside on my front porch for a time until I bring them inside. The first time I received them the coolant pack had ruptured in transit but the product was well sealed in a heavy plastic bag and was not contaminated but was slightly melted - not a big problem. Fast forward to my 4th order and it came with a much improved coolant pouch and when I retrieved it there was no melted product and no coolant leakage. And, the product is great, the dark chocolate and nuts are excellent.

I’m trying all the brands and this is one of my favorites. Not top tier, but definitely worth buying again. The bits are small, and not as shiny as these candies usually are, but the chocolate is high quality and tastes more of chocolate than sugar.

I guess I should have heeded some of the other reviews. I bought these dark chocolate covered almonds and when they finally arrived a week late I couldn't wait to try them. I opened the bag and took out about 5 or 6 pieces. The chocolate had a strange taste and the almonds tasted liked they were two or three years old. They were totally stale but the next morning I tried eating 4 or 5 more with the same results. So rather than me taking a chance of getting sick I threw the whole bag in the trash. I would definitely not recommend you wasting your money on these.

What can I say about CHOCOLATE? These almonds are good! The only bad thing I could say would be they were ordered & received within 5 days but the “best if used by” expiration date (07/05/2024) was the day they arrived at my home. The flavor was still good & we are still eating on them.

I ordered the 5 pound bag of Delish Chocolate covered almonds last summer and was disappointed to find a great deal of them were melted into a clump as it took a lot longer to get here than anticipated and the weather was very hot. They do all that they can to prevent this, by enclosing a cold pack and using a padded envelope, but the conditions were less than ideal for the long journey from California to Michigan. I contacted the company and they sent a label for me to return them for a full refund. Now that the weather is much cooler, I ordered them again, and they were well worth the wait! I would recommend these for their great taste and excellent value. It is also refreshing to deal with such a conscientious company.
