This fit my JD tractor perfectly. It made attaching a snow plow easy. The money I paid for this was easily cheaper than my time and raw material to fabricate it from scratch.

First of all, it really is grade 50 steel, which is a quite strong and corrosion resistant alloy compared to regular low carbon steel. If you look at the pictures posted by "Jody" claiming that it "split" you will plainly see that that it was not installed properly! I am an experience fabricator and welder since 1981. The gusset (see arrow) in the picture is less than 1/3 of what we what we install. The vertical line is where we would have brought the triangular gusset to because you need to spread the load out near the pins..... BECAUSE THAT'S WHERE THE DOUBLE PLATE IS! Yes, behind those pins is another plate, just carry the load out to it and you will be fine. Now, if you wanted to not use gussets in this application, it's technically possible using 9/16" grade 50 plate....... but then you've added SO much weight that your loader can't pick up as much load. Bad idea. So just use real gussets that extend all the way out behind the pins. Also, it's standard procedure to use 2 gussets in an application like this for a compact tractor such as a John Deere 1025R or 2038R tractor. If you are mounting on a 3033R or heavier tractor I would use 3 gussets on each side. The first one 10" down from the top, one across whatever pin you use at the bottom, and the third one in the middle of the top and bottom. Again, this is standard procedure!

Arrived quickly, and is exactly as described. I do wish that it had a light coat of primer on it, it arrived covered in service rust, but from the other reviews, I expected that so I can still get this five stars, as it was exactly what I was expecting!

The plate bends back and forth enough that it has actually split. Don't waste your money

The plate is convenient you just have to properly fabricate it to whatever you need.

Used on snow pusher.Mount did not match up. top hooks need to be a radius or bottom pins need to be moved.
